The Nutella Maritozza is out of this world, and the hot chocolate is too. The staff is incredibly kind.

The cashiers are always rude, but the quality overall is good and the prices, while not cheap, are appropriate for a highly touristy neighborhood.

They don't speak English. The woman taking our order doesn't speak a word of English. We ordered a cafe latte. After paying, you pick it up yourself from the counter. However, when the man there added white wine, we realized she didn't understand anything. When we somehow made it clear we wanted coffee, they gave us the remaining money in cash. The coffee was delicious. Since there was no room at the patisserie across the street, we opted to sit here and have a coffee, our real choice being the one across the street.

A benchmark for pastry making in Rome: excellent quality and tradition. It's a shame—a real shame—for the consistently rude attitude of the cashier, who sometimes also serves at the counter. I've been frequenting this place, albeit occasionally, for over twenty years (since around 2002): why should I sacrifice kindness for excellence?

What I found amusing was the sheer variety of sandwiches: oversized (one bigger than my face!), tiny burgers, and even palm-sized ones. This lack of a standard size made me completely lost in the store. Walking to another dessert counter, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of brioche and croissant-related desserts. How much can you fit into a breakfast stomach? I know my stomach too well; I can only choose one. Struggling to decide between the plain milk bread (bigger than my palm) and the pistachio milk bread (about 6cm in size), the cashier lady started getting impatient and switched from the pistachio to the oversized milk bread, bigger than my palm. Hmm, I wanted the classic plain one. "Oh, wow, you're really big," I said to the milk bread that was brought to me. "What else?" I think that's what she replied. "Just eat, why think so much?" The brioche bread was soft and delicate, the whipped cream not greasy at all, paired with a sip of cappuccino—ah, it was such a perfect combination! The rich espresso awakened my dazed mind and quickened my heart's flutter. It's so delicious!!! I couldn't resist ordering another cappuccino. You two are so perfect together.

We went for breakfast without any prior knowledge. The food was high quality, on par with the most famous places. They have outdoor seating on the terrace; if it's not busy, there's a short wait, but it's not a problem. Takeaway is also an option. We ordered a cappuccino, a latte, a croissant filled with hazelnut cream, and a raspberry maritozzo—all delicious. The total came to €11.50.

The food is okay, but nothing like Regoli across the road. And the coffee is the same.

A small place They have a number of outdoor tables where you can sit, but I'm not sure they offer table service. I tried a selection of pastries, and I have to say everything was very good, the maritozzo with cream was superb. They also have a selection of sandwiches that look really inviting. The coffee is good. A truly wonderful surprise.

Pasticceria D'Amore is a treasure trove of delicacies: those of the excellent artisanal desserts and those of the owners, the D'Amore sisters, who can sometimes seem a bit brusque (it's incredibly difficult dealing with hundreds of customers of such a diverse nature every day), but who are actually two professionals in the industry, friendly and even beautiful ladies. The coffee service is excellent, and as for the desserts, they're all highly recommended, depending on your personal tastes. For example, I particularly like the chocolate truffles! The bar isn't huge, but it's somewhat divided between the cash register and the large display case of desserts on one side, and the coffee machine and counter on the right. The prices are not only not expensive, but well below other establishments in the same sector! Highly recommended bar and pastry shop! 👍
