It's always a pleasure to return to L'Aquila after so many years and find small restaurants that truly make quality their mission, in a regional capital city with great food and wine potential.
The restaurant has neither too many nor too few seats, which ensures relatively fast service, but not "cafeteria" style.
The waiters are knowledgeable and courteous.
The food is fresh, with authentic flavors, and there's an excellent wine selection.

Excellent food! Their specialty is first courses, all with fresh pasta made by them.
It's unique to have many dishes directly in the pan used for the final "sauté"... obligatory "scarpetta" (to mop up the sauce)!! 😀

The food was really good, especially the meat, which was incredibly tender, and the appetizer was spectacular. Excellent quality.
The service was quite fast, and the staff were attentive and friendly.

I had high expectations of this restaurant because of the high ratings on The Fork, and it did not disappoint! The carbonara and caciocavallo cheese with truffles were both delicious and satisfying. We used our Yums on the Fork for a discount, and it was applied to our bill without any problems.

Pisellino is located on the street with adjacent parking. There are a few tables for two outside, and inside, the air-conditioned dining room is modern and elegant. The food is good, fresh, with ingredients and dishes that include traditional local dishes. We booked through The Fork, a three-person reservation. The service is attentive and timed between courses. The appetizer is moderate (I prefer a small one to make room for the rest), delicious burrata, and very fresh fried pizza with tomato and basil. And wow, the freshly made zucchini flowers were crispy and juicy, they tasted like the ones my mom made. I recommend trying the pappardelle with wild boar and the homemade ravioli. I can't say what the main courses are because we didn't order them, but I think the meat is also worth trying. Desserts... The tiramisu was very good and delicate, as tradition dictates. I recommend trying it.
