Fantastic food, wine cellar of true connoisseurs, very traditional premises

The excellence of tradition. I have been frequenting this restaurant for many years, a continuous confirmation. Traditional menu of great substance and dishes cooked with great skill and experience, high quality wine list, excellent service. Super recommended!

After years in which we were "frequent" customers, despite coming from Milan, and then a long period of absence, we returned to Pinocchio with curiosity and nostalgia. Perhaps the latter has raised expectations. Perhaps the bar has also been raised because over the years we have tried "almost star" or single-starred restaurants (Pinocchio once was one); the fact is that we found some courses very appreciable, but not all. Agnolotti del Presidente (dedication to Napolitano, who ate them), standing egg in bagna càuda and risottos (with blackberries and octopus/sweetbreads and mushrooms) were much appreciated. Fillet cooked under savory meringue not to be missed, Less recommended is the standing egg with toma (without much character) and also the lamb: decent but not up to the standard of the rest. Warm eggnog sublime as we remembered! Initial service "in the ball": there are no menus for all the tables because "we all arrived together", they tell us. I say “print more, people! Lunch time is more or less always the same..."; in fact we have to ask for menus several times and wait for more than 20 minutes, while being content to use 1 in 4 just to choose something in the meantime. Ditto the wine list (very extensive) which is not available unless you wait for it and ask for it. Then afterwards the serve took on the necessary pace, until the end. Always a pleasant location with a pseudo-rustic elegance, especially the entrance with the majestic fireplace that welcomes you. Toilet to be modernized. Ample parking.

With my daughter and son-in-law, I went for lunch at this beautiful place I had been to some time ago. We made the Chef's Freehand Menu which delighted us with a crescendo of delicacies from the beginning to the end of the lunch. All excellent. We will definitely be back soon, even just for lunch.

One of the best dinners of the year. The simplicity of the dishes made to perfection, the lightness, the cheese trolley with extraordinary selections, an excellent wine list with equally excellent value for money. A restaurant that is the history of Italian cuisine with a very young chef who really promises well. Don't miss it!

This is a real gem in the area. We had the restaurant for ourselves so of course we had no issues. We had the traditional sampling menu and all plates were delicious, different and well executed.

Update as of September 28, 2024. Today at lunch, in my opinion it was the time I truly enjoyed the flavors that this place made me try. The first time with veal and anchovy cream, and the second with mushroom risotto. Coming back here is always nice. Each time all 5 senses are activated. But the salmon, the agnolotti and the zabaione certainly deserve to be tasted. The staff always go out of their way to satisfy customers. I recommend it to anyone looking for a lunch or dinner for refined palates.
