Quality of the dishes: I had a carbonara, beautifully served directly from the pan. Unfortunately, the cream had several grains, probably due to the overcooked egg or the pecorino cheese not melting perfectly. It's a shame, because in Rome, I expected something more from this dish. The pinsa, however, was very pleasant. Atmosphere and setting: The place is very interesting: inside, the red candles on each table create an evocative, almost old-fashioned atmosphere. Service: The waitress wasn't particularly friendly, so the service could be improved. Overall rating: 3/5

Four of us had dinner on a Monday at Pietro al Pantheon, recommended by friends. We had a reservation at 8:00 PM. We arrived a little early, at 7:45 PM. Since the table was still taken, he made us wait outside but offered us four glasses of wine. The place is small but cozy. The service is excellent. Very good food. I had a carbonara, exceptional! I noticed that the restaurant across the street had someone "butting in" with tourists, while at Pietro's there was a line to get in... Excellent value too.

This long-established trattoria, founded in 1842 near the Pantheon, serves pasta fresh in aluminum pans with handles. Their delicious amatriciana and carbonara are sure to have you coming back for more. • Amatriciana The sauce is tomato-based, with a rich, savory flavor from the fat of guanciale (cured pork cheek). It's finished with a generous sprinkling of Pecorino Romano cheese, a salty crust made from sheep's milk, perfectly complementing the tomato sauce. • Carciofo alla Giudia (Jewish Artichokes) This traditional dish originates from Rome's Jewish ghetto. Deep-fried whole artichokes are tender, twice deep-fried in olive oil, resulting in a crispy exterior like potato chips and a soft, fluffy, and salty interior. • Carbonara: This authentic recipe, made without cream, features a deep, creamy egg yolk color and a rich, creamy texture. Delicious with plenty of Pecorino Romano, black pepper, and guanciale (cured pork cheek). Excellent place, recommended by a friend. The food is delicious. We initially wanted lasagna, but I understood they didn't have it, so they recommended pasta with ricotta sauce and bacon bits. Excellent. Very tasty. Since it's so small, you have to wait a little while outside because it fills up very quickly. But the wait was no more than 15 minutes. We were served by the owner, a very friendly gentleman. The place is quite rustic, very cozy to sit in.

Ristorante Le Prim'ARE

13/12/2025: Good local cuisine... "simply good," relaxed atmosphere, especially suitable for families with children. Nobody really minds if there are children running around... it's a family restaurant.
09/12/2025: What can I say that hasn't already been said and written? Except a big thank you to Nadia, her daughter, her family, and her staff for everything they give us in this splendid place... Excellent food, excellent and informal service. PS. I won't post photos of the dishes, come and try them. Down with Ale, Frà

La Gattabuia

14/03/2026: Excellent Roman restaurant serving many traditional dishes, including a few specialties. The appetizers are excellent, especially the parmigiana and tripe, and the versions of cacio e pepe with artichokes or zucchini flowers are delicious. Recommended.
13/03/2026: SO GOOD! From appetizer to dessert, everything was super tasty... I'm still thinking about the carbonara cream... yum 😋
