Romantic, delicate, and very well-kept, the location and restaurant with its huge open kitchen are truly breathtaking. Very few restaurants are at this high level. From appetizers to dessert, the dishes are exceptionally carefully crafted, both in terms of presentation and the harmony of flavors. I ate a fresh pasta carbonara that I've never had in my life. It's a build-your-own carbonara—a fantastic idea; the customer assembles their own pasta with ingredients brought separately to the table. Delicious. The tiramisu is head-turning, magical. Uuuuuuuuuuu Great.

My wife and I were expecting great things from this restaurant and it was very good but slightly below expectations. We opted for A La carte rather than one of the tasting menus. The starter of smoked trout was one of the best dishes I have tasted in a while. Amazing texture and flavour with bursting taste bombs from the accompanying caviar. Main was a beef dish on the menu as a special, which was good without being exceptional. The accompanying “roast” potatoes were bland and not at all crispy. My wife had char (fish) which was small but tasty (it was probably a middle course rather than a main size to be fair).
Dessert was tiramisu, which was disappointing. The sponge was covered with a coffee gel and the mascarpone was served separately. It also had cardomom in it. A case of trying to be too clever and detracting from what can be a very nice dessert I’m afraid.
Service was excellent and the setting is absolutely beautiful next to the lake overlooking the village of Mergozzo - hard to beat. The price was also reasonable for the quality of the establishment. We would definitely go back and maybe have two of the trout dishes next time!

Location stupenda , il ristorante si affaccia sul lago di mergozzo , il servizio è stato ottimo tutti super sorridenti e disponibili, abbiamo preso il menù 4 portate ( porzioni abbondanti) veramente tutti i piatti squisiti , carbonara e il dolce la perfezione !!

Grande pranzo per il compleanno di mia moglie oggi al Piccolo Lago.
Abbiamo optato per il menù Piemonte e tutte le portate sono state deliziose e abbondanti. Una menzione speciale va alla carbonara con ingredienti piemontesi (piatto signature dello chef da ormai 30 anni), La trota, la guancia di manzo al profumo di agrumi e le eccezionali meringhe portate come piccola pasticceria sul finale.
Tutto il menù è rispettoso della tradizione, creativo, e cucinato in maniera impeccabile.
Spero che presto tornerete ad avere le stelle che meritate e torneremo sicuramente a trovarvi per l'esperienza Chef Table in cucina !!!
Staff molto gentile, e grazie per i complimenti fatti per "il palato", fin da piccolo amo riconoscere i gusti più nascosti e cucinare, quindi sono stati complimenti molto apprezzati.
