A great place to stop, perhaps during a long journey. The decor is simple, the room is brightly lit thanks to the large windows, the service is fast, and the staff is welcoming and efficient. The food is traditional, with no particularly sophisticated dishes: the dishes are tasty and plentiful! We've been there twice in three days!

On the way to the Alpine Regiment in Genoa, and on the return trip, we, the ANA Choir of Latina, stopped at the "Il Picchio Rosso" restaurant. A very welcoming atmosphere. Excellent food, very generous portions!!! Fast and professional service. And at the end of our lunch, on the way home, we couldn't help but dedicate a couple of our songs to the entire staff, to thank them for their commitment and patience...especially the Alpine anthem in memory of the chef's grandfather. Long live the Alpine Regiment. Thank you, "Il Picchio Rosso"!!!!

There were 40 of us here for lunch on the way there and back from a trip. We were treated wonderfully, with generous and delicious meals, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Highly recommended.
