Whenever we're in Montalto, it's practically a regular stop. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is excellent. The Picchio appetizer and fried calamari are top-notch. Average prices. See you on Monday, August 18th for my in-laws' wedding anniversary.

We went here for a special celebration. We had a wonderful meal: a hot and cold appetizer, two first courses, fried fish and side dishes, and a sorbet to finish. We drank 10 bottles of white wine, along with liqueurs and coffee. Everything was perfect! Highly recommended. The staff was generous, welcoming, kind, and friendly.

A must-try for seafood lovers because you can instantly taste the freshness of the food. The dishes are excellent and also very beautiful to look at. The portions are generous, and at the same time, it's great because you truly feel at home. The staff is very friendly and very attentive to their customers. P.S. Fabio won't buy a scooter, get a nice motorbike! 😉

I found zuppa inglese again and really liked it: you can taste the alchermes, and that's a plus. That's enough for now.

An excellent restaurant. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, the dishes are sublime, and the prices are average. We personally enjoyed the exceptional spaghetti with clams, the delicious fried calamari and shrimp, and a variation I requested, the delicious risotto with zucchini and scampi. The welcome and family atmosphere that you feel as soon as you enter is wonderful. This place isn't just about savoring the delicacies of Picchio Rosso's cuisine, but above all, it's about seeing their enthusiasm, their attentiveness, and the warmth they convey to the customer, who is no longer just a customer but almost a friend you can meet for the next lunch or dinner. Try their menu and enjoy a couple of hours of serenity and joy at this restaurant. I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back.

Overall, the restaurant is good. The quality of the food doesn't match the ratings, but it's still decent (I'd give it a 3.5). Courteous staff.

Era la prima volta in questo Ristorante (consigliato da amici), al primo impatto con il proprietario abbiamo subito avuto una piacevole sensazione di empatia, sintonia e buonissima accoglienza. Benchè il locale fosse completamente pieno, appena seduti al tavolo (prenotato), con nostro piacere ci servono subito un aperitivo di benvenuto con delle bruschette (e già iniziamo bene), prendiamo gli antipasti "Picchio Rosso" buoni, freschi e gradevoli e un Soutè di cozze e Vongole alla marinara (fresche e saporite, con un sughetto che rende la "scarpetta" obbligatoria!) passiamo poi ai primi: risotto al nero di seppia e gnocchi gamberi e zucchine, caldi, molto buoni e gradevoli. Come secondo optiamo per una frittura di calamari e gamberi che ci viene servita calda e croccante, infine chiudiamo il pasto con 3 ottimi tipi di dessert: un Tiramisù eccezionale, una buonissima Zuppa Inglese e un ottimo Profiterole al cioccolato. Ci alziamo dalla tavola soddisfatti per le specialità gustate, per l'ottimo e attento servizio ed infine per un conto congruo a quanto consumato e senza sorprese. Unico appunto che in relatà è più un consiglio è quello di non limitare l'ordinazione a non più di due tipi di primi (capisco benissimo le ragioni tecniche e logistiche) me se ci fosse stata anche questa opportunità senz'altro avrei assegnato il massimo dei voti. Comunque la simpatia e la genuinità del titolare, che è passato più volte al tavolo per controllare se tutto procedeva bene, ha fatto la differenza. Torneremo sicuramente in questo Ristorante perchè ne vale la pena. Unico difetto: il titolare è laziale (ma di quelli che avresti come amici!).

In viaggio nel nostro splendido centro Italia siamo tornati a pranzare al Picchio Rosso ed abbiamo deciso di prendere due risotti al nero di seppia (divino) e molto ricco ed una grigliata di pesce davvero eccellente. Ottima qualità , personale cordiale e titolare sempre molto di compagnia. Da consigliare sempre.
