Hidden away in an alley in the San Niccolò district is a former wine tavern that has been around since the 1800s.
The church crypt, built in 1066, was excavated after the 1966 flood, and even today, you can enjoy Florentine cuisine in its unique stone underground space—a truly one-of-a-kind location.
The meal begins with a platter of lardo, followed by tripe and ribollita—a textbook example of classic Tuscan cuisine. As you sip red wine from a carafe while gazing at the countless fiascos lining the walls, you feel as if you've stepped back in time.
The prices and portion sizes, uncompromising for tourists, exude genuine honesty. Grazie 🍷🏛️

Authentic place, frequented by Florentines too. Excellent food, authentic service, and a reasonable price. A truly excellent place to go, far from the tourist-centric crowds of the city center.

Best ragu I have ever had! Service was fantastic and the food was amazing. For dessert, I highly recommend the pistachio tiramisu

The traditional home-made dishes are very good (we suggest reducing the pepper), the service is very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is that of a true tavern. Recommended.

Excellent experience, tasty and plentiful local dishes, service that puts you at ease, and fair prices.
A truly excellent discovery!!
The only downside is the music, which in my opinion has nothing to do with the place, breaking the atmosphere a bit and forcing you to raise your voice a bit... alternating between songs by the worst Jovanotti, sold-out reggaeton, and dance music in the style of Alba Adriatica 1999, Vasco Rossi, and Ornella Vanoni.
But again, aside from this minor detail, I can recommend this place 100%.
We'll definitely be back.

The food here was arguably the best in Florence, and since the lasagna is available for a limited time, be sure to try it if you get the chance.
The tiramisu is also handmade, so it had the deepest flavor of all the tiramisu I've ever tasted.
The dish similar to Korean tripe hot pot and the beef were also really delicious!!
