The winning formula is that of the open kitchen, an increasingly recurring stylistic choice in the restaurant sector. “Pescorante O’ Lupino” is no exception and undoubtedly manages to benefit from this latest trend. A few seats distributed around the fishmonger which acts as a catalyst for the related activity. Music in the background, welcoming atmosphere and very attentive service. And this last one deserves a special mention: the replacement of the glasses after ordering another bottle of white - it differed from the first only in the grape variety - is a detail that does not escape the diners and immediately earns points for the restaurant located in the area Tower in Salerno. There are three appetizers, the tuna Tataki with black and white sesame and caramelized onion chutney stands out above all, while the tuna tartare surprises with its combinations that enhance the simplicity of the dish. The classic real octopus with potato cream (heated over a flame) is another must that does not disappoint our expectations. Thanks to the skill of the chef, the raw materials blend together without some prevailing over the others. From the spaghettone cacio e pepe and mussels to the zito with tuna Genoese, passing through the linguine with seafood, the first courses confirm the good impression we had at the beginning. Bill in line with the quality of the products and the minimalist elegance of the restaurant. A final comment seems necessary here, the rounding downwards (whole figure) is yet another attention that the owners wanted to reserve for customers before saying goodbye.

The food was simply great. We got lobsters and Gillardeau oysters of the highest quality, straight from the aquarium. The service was so nice and friendly, even without English on their part it worked really well.

This place is amazing. We’ve had a salad and some grilled fish to share, and it was a great experience. The staff was super kind and caring for my girlfriends gluten free allergy. The atmosphere is great, super chill. It’s not a tourist spot at all, you should know what you order and ask if the portions are alright. Would come back, definitely.
