Pepita Cafè In Comacchio

Looking for a place to eat a piadina, we chose this place. From the photos, we couldn't tell it was fully open, and since it was a cold and humid September evening, we asked if we could find a sheltered spot inside, and they were very helpful and quickly set one up. They told us what was available, and we opted for a piadina with traditional porchetta and a bottle of traditional beer. While we waited, we chatted pleasantly with the owner. When the piadinas arrived, we hungrily tucked into them. Both the filling and the flatbread were superb. We then ordered two coffees and two Baileys. We left when the place closed, happy with what we had eaten and spent—€30.80—and with the laughs we had with the owners. Oh, and our setter had been trying all night to make friends with the local cat, but without success. 🤣

We had a great time. The aperitifs are excellent, the prosecco is good quality, the piadinas and burgers are truly special. The management is serious and professional, friendly without being vulgar. Well done!

Young and super friendly guys! The place has moved from the square area to right next to the rides since 2025. The new place is smaller, but the guys still organize evenings with live music (just follow them on social media to find out when they're doing them). The burgers and piadinas are excellent, made with some of the finest ingredients! Pictured is a burger with grilled mushrooms, caramelized Tropea onion, truffle sauce, arugula, and bacon—uniquely delicious! With the piadina, you absolutely have to try the porchetta di Ariccia! If you ask for bottled beers, they have an excellent selection in a hidden refrigerator! They also do great cocktails! Highly recommended!

The owner changed the mind of someone (me) who had never really liked burgers. I think the one I got from them was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Amazing!!!

Very nice atmosphere, with live music on some evenings. Since I tried the piadina here, I've never eaten it anywhere else. The dough is really good, not dry, and the fillings are generous. I recommend it!

We are on vacation at Lido delle Nazioni and yesterday evening, walking around dinner time, we stopped for an aperitif in this small, very nice place. The non-alcoholic fruit cocktail made by Luca was delicious. Then we also stopped for dinner and between hamburgers and piadinas with porchetta, we left very satisfied and certainly during our vacation, we will return to visit Luca the owner together with his boys.
