Peperusko In Castelmezzano

A small restaurant that offers many typical local dishes, all really excellent! The restaurant is made up of an internal and an external part, our table overlooked a truly beautiful and evocative view of Castelmezzano, we ordered several dishes including the crusco pepper, very good! The owners are really kind people, they offer a very attentive service. I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for excellent typical dishes.

Nice place, nice atmosphere. We had dinner outside: breathtaking view. The mixed platter was of a good standard and the ricotta mousse was amazing.

Top experience! We have come to Castelmezzano several times but they have a wonderful view. Great food and the guys give excellent service! We will definitely be back

We consumed two excellent spritzes with artisanal bitters and local cured meats, finally we appreciated the original recipe for Amaro Lucano and an aromatic gin distilled by local producers. Very high distillery! But the greatest magic was enjoying it all while sitting along the belvedere perched in front of the Lucanian Dolomites, while the soft music (of absolute refinement) caressed the ears. Also very pleasant was the welcome and care of Paolo, one of the brothers who passionately manages this restaurant, who, at the end of dinner, also cheered us up with a very amiable conversation, not neglecting to tell us some of the secrets of the place and historical notions that they made the stay even more interesting. Earnest owners, friendly staff, but unfortunately there were some disappointments with the food. We ordered 2 soups which tasted ok, but we noticed the bread looked like it was moldy. We could also hear the microwave being used, so the soup was cold in spots

Locale carino ma è più un bistrot che un ristorante:niente primi ma solo zuppe,niente secondi.Abbastanza deludente il servizio anche per l'attesa per mangiare sebbene non ci fosse quasi nessuno in sala.Prezzi un po' cari!

We stopped by chance and ordered a revisited spritz. Original and delicious! We immediately got another one. Cozy place and helpful and courteous staff. Thanks to our friend Paolo.. see you soon ☘️

Very nice place with a wide choice of local cuisine... good wine! I wanted to say that there are Vegan choices on the menu! It wasn't easy to find directions on the internet for the choice, I hope it is useful to other vegans visiting Castelmezzano!

The venue is lovely, the view is great. I think the boys that run it are sweet but very young so are still learning. The soup was ok (or would have been with seasoning) but the salad was just a bit of iceberg lettuce, tiny bits of chopped up cheese and a few bits of tomatoes.. no dressing, nothing. Bit strange! The sandwich had hardly any filling. I think they need perhaps need to charge a bit more to create decent meals if they cannot afford to make them better at the price they are selling them- I would prefer to spend 10euros on a decent salad than 7.50 on a bowl of lettuce. Same goes for the sandwich. Hope they figure it out as they have a good place to build a business from, and a pretty captive audience up in Castelmezzano.
