The cable car ride from the place is just a short walk away, making it incredibly convenient for those wanting to explore the mountain scenery without driving. The owners, the grandparents, were lovely and kind, making it feel like staying at a relative's home. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide selection of breads, cheeses, fruit, and fresh coffee. Clean and nice. Good breakfast and pleasant host. We stayed in the attic. It was a bit worn, but perfectly usable for the price. Missed an opportunity to make a cup of coffee in the room.

Alphadiseusi is nearby. Almost all trekking courses are satisfactory.

Very pretty rooms. The bed is comfort. The breakfast quality is very good, but same menus for 3 days. However I still love the breakfast here.

Our most memorable stay during dolomites trip in September 2025. Stayed here for few days as the location is about 30minutes to 1 hour drive to places that we went to (ortisei, lago carezza, seceda via col raiser, st magdalena, geisler alm/adolf munkel weg via malga zannes). Room is clean, friendly host and staffs, and they made great cappucino for breakfast. They left apples on the reception if youre heading out to hikes Walking distance to tourist info center, drinking fountain in the middle of village (tap water is drinkable as they’re sourced from the mountains), and groceries. Very near to cabinovia alpe di siusi, about 5minutes walk, if you want to take cable car to seisler alm/alpe di siusi However note that this place is next to main road in dolomites area. As there’s no AC, you’ll open the window most of the time and could be noisy at times, but only little traffic in the evening. Since we’re staying during shoulder season, the room wasnt hot at all and the temperature was comfortable

I stayed this accommodation for two nights. Well-maintained accommodation, and with the kind words of the host, I was able to get along very comfortably during my stay. And there are many excellent restaurants and grocery stores that are within walking distance of each other, so I would like to make a reservation next time I visit Dolomities. We stayed here one night before a multi day hike and what a welcome. The owners are absolutely lovely and made us feel like it was a home away from home. Breakfast is great and the rooms are well equipped and extremely clean! Highly recommend this hotel, we were sad we couldn’t stay longer!

Garni Hauenstein is a beautiful Alpine-style B&B. The owner is truly welcoming and friendly, the breakfast is excellent, and the room is truly lovely with a beautiful balcony overlooking the sunset and the mountains. I hope to return in the winter!

The best experience! Our host Ulli was absolutely amazing. Helped us with everything we needed, including advice about the best restaurants, hikes and even helping us park our car. Ulli greeted us each night and asked how our day was, she really cared about our experience. Our view was amazing, we could see the mountains from our bedroom. Breakfast was very yummy with heaps of options. Cannot recommend staying here enough.
