One of the best restaurant not only in Florence but Italy. My wife and I went there twice and had an amazing experience. The Spicy Spaghetti and Cacio E Pepe are highly recommended. Their bruschetta is one of the freshest. The host is very hospitable and cute. The lady serving was friendly too. The host gave us free limoncello shots on our check out which was very sweet of him.

Lovely little restaurant in the city centre. Everywhere I was recommended to go was fully booked so ended up here. It definitely didn’t disappoint. Hidden gem in my opinion. The owner is nice and friendly and offered a free shot of liquor!

Best meal we had in Italy! Bistecca fiorentine, nonna’s lasagna, cacio e Pepe, delicious. We could hear each other talk! Family owned and wonderful.

A fantastic culinary experience. We had two different primi/pasta dishes, one vegetarian and one with meat. Both were a real treat. A welcoming atmosphere and fast, friendly service.

If you like beef you have to try the Ossobuco alla Fiorentina, the beef was so tender, the sauce flavour it’s delicious and the potatoes very good cooked, also we tried the ravioli, very creamy and overall very good flavours, the place is cozy and not that busy at least on the time we were there November/Monday. The price is pretty decent for the tasty food you get and the service was very fast.

16/10/2025: Happened to come by this place by chance, but turned out to be one of the best meals we've had in Florence. We enjoyed the experience so much that we went back the next night with a couple of friends who were also in Florence. Good food, warm service and great atmosphere. They have a daily changing menu, but we enjoyed the zucchini and saffron pasta, pumpkin chips, fried sole with butter garlic sauce and ragu.

24/01/2026: Ganino was recommended to us by the management company of the apartment we rented and it did not disappoint. We went as soon as it opened for dinner because we did not have a reservation. They let us have a cozy table for two hrs. Actually by the time we left at the end of two hours, the place was packed. For 4 of us, we usually order two of each course to share. For antipasti, we like the fried polenta with ragu. The polenta was crunchy like a piece of toast. For pasta, we actually liked both the pici with wild boar sauce and the giant green ravioli, the pasta on both were cooked extremely well. For Main course, we enjoyed the lamb shank with crispy skin and the meat was just well done but not yet fall off the bone tender. Both the sponge cake and panna cotta were light with the right amount of sweetness. All the servers we sealed with were friendly and helpful. This restaurant is worth a try if you ever visit Florence and happen to be near the Doumo.
