We went for dinner. Delicious food and fantastic wine, which is rightly priced. Pleasant atmosphere, halfway between a restaurant and a refuge. Only downside, very cold and uninterested waiting staff. But then again, we went to eat and not to make friends. I recommend it.

Had a lovely lunch here with hubby. The squash soup was delightful, and the presentation was special. The liver main was tender and delicious. However, they charged extra for lingonberry sauce for our schnitzel. Service was good, and the atmosphere was traditional South Tylenol.

Wir waren hier beim Essen. Sehr gute und traditionelle Küche. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich, nett und zuvorkommend. Die Portionen waren reichlich. Die Preise bewegen sich im etwas höheren Segent, welche aber gerechtfertigt sind. Wir werden das Restaurant wieder besuchen.

We were here for dinner. Service a dream. We were looked after very well. We had starter, main course and dessert. Fantastic, excellent. Simply to rave about. We'll be back!

Muy buena comida en un lugar agradable y amable. El personal era muy servicial, ya que nuestro alemán era muy limitado. Ahorre tiempo para explorar la encantadora ciudad.

Trattoria Bar Mainardo

10/04/2025: Not a hipster restaurant and not a star cuisine, but honest Italian home cooking like at la Mama. Few tourists, but many locals - from bankers to craftsmen who come here to eat. In any case, here is the best spaghetti carbonara we know. Mainardo - always worth a visit!
09/04/2025: Very tasty, home-made Italian food away from the tourist hotspots. Great and very friendly service! Clear recommendation if you want to enjoy good, down-to-earth Italian food in Merano! Update: On our second stay in Meran we stopped at the Trattoria Mainardo for lunch again. It was very crowded, but we managed to get a seat without a reservation. The food was again incredibly tasty & the owners are warm and great hosts. Another great recommendation for a delicious Italian meal in Meran.

09/04/2025: Great traditional Austrian restaurant in the city center and great service.
30/03/2025: 11 of us came for dinner on the advice of relatives, one dish better than the other, from the first courses to the desserts, all with a delicate but particular taste, delicious. Excellent value for money, really worth it. Typical and very quiet environment. Caterina, who served us during dinner, is really very kind!
