A very nice outdoor dining area, a pleasant dining room. Very friendly service, and South Tyrolean cuisine that leaves nothing to be desired. There are also wonderful new interpretations of well-known dishes. Everything is either regional and/or organic. Definitely a recommendation away from the usual places.
Be sure to try the char as a starter—it's a dream.

A truly hidden gem! Great value for money and excellent service!
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were absolutely thrilled. A cozy terrace, a great menu, and wines that cater to both tourists and locals.

Nice restaurant with a beer garden right on the street, not far from the Bolzano-Merano cycle path.
Very friendly service!

Great restaurant, we ate very well! Reservations are highly recommended. We were passing through and were very lucky to find the last available table without booking.

Patauner is a long-established restaurant in the Terlano district of Settequerce. Its elegant, beautiful dining room and shady garden (unfortunately, sometimes a bit busy). Almost everyone praises Patauner.
As we've been frequent guests, I can also praise it, but I've also experienced its shortcomings. The value for money is reasonable, and most dishes are very tasty. As I said: most of them. Some soups (e.g., the wine soup or the cream of asparagus soup) are less on the "well-made" side, but more on the other side. It could be much better!!!!!
On the last day of our vacation, I ordered a small tartare as a starter and a small Wiener Schnitzel (of course, veal) as a main course. The tartare was excellent with small fresh rolls. Then, for the main course, a plate of schnitzel (nothing else) arrived. No lemon, no cranberries, no anchovies, not a single lettuce leaf to add color. That's right, it was supposed to be a small schnitzel, but it was small, but a bit drier with a burnt crust. A small bowl of fried potatoes also came separately. That was it! Disappointing!
The semi-frozen dessert had to make up for a lot – but it did.
On the other hand, the "Fried Veal Sweetbreads on Sautéed Asparagus with Spring Onions and Nettles" for €16.00 and the "Onion Roast Beef with Roasted Potatoes" for €19.00, which we had the day before, were truly delicious.
The service was attentive and prompt, although the intervals between courses were often too quick for me.

If it’s nice weather, you can enjoy your lunch or dinner in the garden, between beautiful big trees.
Service is top notch, prices are super fair and food was really tasty and well presented. You can feel it’s a family run business. Warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Great selection of beef dishes. The tagliata was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is right next to the road, but the garden area is cozy and makes a perfect spot to enjoy dinner on a warm summer evening.

The Patauner is simply a restaurant where you feel at home. Very good cuisine with a regional focus. Interesting dishes such as veal sweetbreads are excellently prepared. The wine list also features very fine wines from the region. The service is fast, attentive, and very friendly, even to tourists like us, although the restaurant seems to be very popular with the locals as well.
