Pastificio Guerra In Roma

So good and so much authenticity! So many shops in Roma where to buy cheap pasta, but nothing as good and as cheap as Pastificio Guerra!

It's a takeaway place. Their pasta is good; they had two kinds and we tried both. There's always a queue, but it goes by quickly. Worth a try.

Maybe it’s not a "hidden gem" anymore, but this place is an absolute must! Once you taste their legendary pasta for just €5, you'll want to come back every single day. It’s a real treasure located just a few steps from the Spanish Steps. The staff is very friendly and speaks English. They offer two types of pasta daily, one with meat and one vegetarian. Plus, water for only €1 is a rare find in the heart of Rome. Don't forget to buy some of their dried pasta to take home with you!

Two options, vegitarian and with some kind of meat. Sitting is not possible, but you always can use Spanis stairs to enjoy your meal. This is a ryl noce meal for only 5 euro!!!! Delicious and warm food for 5!!! 5 euros!

Excellent pasta place. They only offer two varieties a day for 5 euros, and they change them daily, but any of them are totally worth it. The portion is enough for one person and tastes great. You'll usually find a long line, but that's why it's there—it's worth it. There's only enough space for about four people to eat inside, so you'll most likely have to eat somewhere else.

I'm a tourist from Taiwan 🇹🇼, visiting in February 2026. 💰A €5 serving of pasta is super cheap and a huge portion, perfect for a satisfying meal. The taste was surprisingly good too; one serving is quite filling. ⏰I happened to pass by and saw a queue forming. If you queue 15 minutes before opening, you can be in the first round (first-round customers get seats inside to eat, later arrivals have to stand outside). When I arrived just before opening, the queue stretched all the way to the corner of the street – it was unbelievable! Reviews say they offer two flavors daily, but actually there are three! The third type sold out very quickly, leaving only two options. There are three main types: Pork / No pork (but with other meats; we saw tuna) / No pork (no other meat, just vegetarian). The three types of noodles are different each day; you have to queue and wait until the shop opens to see the menu. 🍅Pork: Today it was tomato meat sauce gnocchi. There was very little meat, just a large, clumped ball of minced meat. The tomato sauce itself was delicious, and €5 for gnocchi was a steal! The gnocchi were just small dough balls, so don't expect too much, but they were quite chewy. We didn't try the pesto tuna. 🥬The vegan version was flat, thick tubular noodles. The basil flavor was nice, and the sauce coated the noodles well. It was actually quite delicious; I even preferred it to the other two! The topping is green beans, nothing special. Overall, arriving 15 minutes early to queue is a good way to get a super cheap and large portion of noodles. It's enough to fill you up, but if you're looking for something truly delicious… well, that's okay. For this price and portion size, it's pretty good. A good choice for budget travelers.

A historic place where tradition meets!

I've been back to that place twice now, and I really love the pasta. I just wish they would take my observation into account: the person taking the money should change their gloves because sometimes they handle money while serving the pasta, or the person preparing the pasta sweeps the place with the same gloves. So if they could change their gloves for serving or handling the pasta, it would be a 10 out of 10.

The real street food in rome. Offering only 2 dishes (pork or no pork). Once empty, they refill it with another kind of pasta. Per portion only 5€ and really delicious. Really worth it!

Absolutely incredible pasta for just 5 euros! I had the carbonara and it was honestly outstanding. Creamy, rich, perfectly seasoned, and full of authentic Italian flavor. You wouldn’t expect such quality at this price, especially as takeaway — but it completely blew me away. Simple, fast, and seriously delicious. This is easily 5 stars. If you’re nearby, don’t hesitate — just go for it! 🍝🇮🇹
