This is what you expect from an Italian pasticceria. Delicious! You gotta speak a bit Italian to get what you want. If you don't, go to a touristic place.

We wanted to buy a small birthday cake for our daughter, we chose from what was on display. After asking what they could offer us for the child, the lady pointed to a chocolate cream cake, I refused, because it was completely chocolate and I was waiting for some other offers, but alas... We chose a very beautiful white cake, calculated it, and already at the celebration it turned out that all the cakes were soaked in alcohol 😡 Yes, the cake was fresh and very tasty, but not for a child! (We added the decor ourselves)

The “Pasticceria di Zio” (present since 1918) is located in Via Ginori at no. 55, in Rione XX (Testaccio), in the historic center of Rome. It is one of the few historic shops left in Testaccio, which has become famous for the tasty "le bombe de Zio". Even today the pastry shop is excellent and a visit is recommended to taste the "flavors of the past".

02/08/2024: Eating at Torraccio is always a sublime experience, excellent food, excellent environment, an experience always to be repeated.
30/06/2024: Christmas lunch. Ample parking and very large room. Bathrooms quite comfortable and clean. Compared to a few years ago, the place is much less crowded. Menu at 40eur including drinks, right portions but I notice a small drop in quality. Basic pandoro dessert with a veil of cream and chocolate cream... nothing exceptional could have been done better. **update 06.30.2024** We went for lunch and noticed that an entire wing was closed, anyway good food and very competent and friendly waiters, average prices, there is no air conditioning but there are many fans in the room.

17/07/2024: In questo ristorante ci andavo tanti tanti anni fa con i miei nonni. Ci sono tornata dopo anni...ha cambiato gestione ovviamente. Sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita dalla gentilezza dei camerieri, dalla buonissima pizza alla romana cotta al forno a legna e dall'ambiente curato. Lo consiglio
