Service was not great, the server was not nice, coffee was not great and the whole experience was not great. It seemed too expensive. The view and setting were nice.

We came here for breakfast and ordered cold latte macchiato, freshly squeezed orange juice and a few snacks. Everything tasted very good and was better than in some other cafes. The puff pastry is very tender and was baked in an excellent way. The prices are very good for a tourist town, for a hearty breakfast for two a total of €20. The staff was a little overwhelmed on a Sunday morning but still very friendly and helpful. From the seats outside you have a direct view of Piazza Sa Michele. We were very satisfied with the visit.

Hello, I loved visiting one of the most beautiful sights of Lucca, Piazza San Michele, located around the church of San Michele in Foro. In fact, it is the ancient Roman market square. This square invites you to linger in one of the countless cafes and restaurants around the square. Just as in Roman times, Piazza San Michele is still the center of public life today! I suggest a coffee and cake break at Pasticceria and Antica Fabbrica Buccellato Taddeucci which is on the square. Sit on the terrace. The service is fast and friendly. The pastries are excellent and the prices are really competitive. I paid €7 for 2 espressos and 2 pastries! I recommend this address. Inside the pastry shop, upon entering, I noticed a photo on the right wall which shows that Prince Charles of England passed there a few years ago... I am attaching some photos. We stopped here as part of an Insight Vacations 'Country Roads of Italy' tour. Our Tour Director purchased some delicious buccellato for us to try. Just what we needed as we explored Lucca on foot.

We went there to try Lucca's famous and traditional buccellato at what is said to be its most historical outlet. At 2.50 euro for three slices from a small loaf, it is not cheap. The buccallato is a sort of chewy raisin bread. It is pleasant enough, but nothing to rave about. Having tried it, we can now cross it off our to-do list!

Tried the traditional buccellato, but the place has plenty of pastries and sweets for every one. Enjoyed the break from touring the wonderful town, at the tables outside.

Vista piazza, tavolini all'aperto . Interno con poco spazio ma da vera pasticceria. Buoni i cornetti e le paste . Caffè e cappuccino nella norma. Curioso il wc esterno con porta "minimal".
