I often stop here for a coffee while passing through and I take the opportunity to taste some excellent pastries.. I also made some aperitifs which in my opinion should be revised a little with the addition of a few more appetizers.. Everyone was kind and friendly.. Obviously I'll be back..

Every time I pass through those parts it's a regular stop, amazing desserts, very clean, friendly staff.

After visiting many places, I can say with absolute certainty that the Pennisi bar represents excellence in the area. The assortment of gastronomy, both sweet and savory, and above all the very high quality of the preparations, combined with more than honest prices, make it one of my absolute favorite places for me, for breakfast in the morning or for a quick lunch , for an afternoon snack or for an ice cream. I find the staff extremely kind and endowed with humility, never arrogant, and not only professionally courteous; which never hurts, because it has that sensitive attention to the customer, even in moments of full capacity, which makes you see that there is also a soul behind an "ordinary" gastronomy service. In short, I find all four characteristics essential for an excellent venue, here I find them all. In fact, in recent decades, we have witnessed many (too many) bars, pastry shops, restaurants getting lost by focusing on investments in spotlights, ground glass windows and so on (it seems like entering a goldsmith's shop, or a modern art museum with large plates designed by 'vinegar but empty 😵), neglecting instead the four fundamental "ingredients" of TRUE gastronomy: 1) quality of food, 2) quantity of food, 3) honesty in prices, 4) kindness towards the customer. Avvolte mi rendo conto di metterli in difficoltà, con le mie richieste, ma Carlotta riesce sempre ad accontentarmi, anche se non si trova dietro il bancone del bar … I ragazzi sono tutti disponibili e gentili, con tutti i clienti…
