It's always a pleasure to come to this place, run by two elderly sisters and one of their daughters. Three very sweet, friendly, and kind people, as well as capable and expert in their craft. This pastry shop has, in fact, won several national awards for the best pastiera in Italy, ranking among the very top (2nd, and I think even 1st once). They always have fresh pastries made daily, so much so that if you arrive too late in the afternoon or evening, some of the products are already sold out because they don't overproduce to avoid bringing them in the next day. A Savarese forever! Whenever I'm in the area, a visit is a must. 😀

If you want to taste authentic Neapolitan pastries and enjoy liqueurs and bitters from the Amalfi Coast, you must come to this pastry shop.
A Neapolitan says the pastiera is just like my mother's, but don't miss the sfogliatelle, they're better than the ones I eat in Naples.

Excellent Neapolitan Christmas sweets, especially the mostaccioli filled with dried fruit. Kindness, courtesy, helpfulness, and a warm welcome, even with the offer of a coffee ☕ and a taste of pastiera. What else? What else? As the Nespresso commercial with George Clooney would say. Sure, the prices are higher than other places we know in southern Lazio, but we're in the capital, and these are the prices. In fact, Savarese makes them 8-10 euros lower per kg. This pastry shop has been awarded the "Historic Shop" certification. We'll be back.
