Pasticceria Sancassani In Bellagio

Great coffee, great pastries, in a quaint little spot and the people were very very friendly. Loved watching all the locals come in and interact. The staff were always smiling and flvery friendly. Everything was amazing.

I am very enthusiastic about the desserts I tasted, therefore I am obliged to enter 5 stars in all the eligible sections. It will subsequently be my duty to recommend this fantastic pastry shop to my acquaintances.

The Pistachio Brioche was really good.

We stayed 3 days in Bellagio and this turned out to be the only pastry shop open in the area and therefore I suppose that the very high reviews depend on the lack of terms of comparison even if I will limit myself to reviewing what we had: hot chocolate with cream and a krapfen made with a dough different from the classic one. Let's start with krapfen (not fried) which I simply didn't like (cost 2.5 euros). Chocolate with cream 4 euros but this is precisely where I have an objection: first of all for me a pastry shop must have fresh cow's milk cream and not vegetable spray cream which I personally can't stand; if I have a hot chocolate in a bar I can imagine that we don't have a cream whipper and so I ask, but in a pastry shop I take it for granted that the cream is real cream. The chocolate was served to us in a small cup rather than a cup, a red "cup" which was also half hollowed out as it formed a heart shape with the handle, the result: little product which we struggled to mix due to the inconvenience given by the shape, cute yes, but more suitable for hosting a latte in a large cup than a hot chocolate with cream....

Gracias por su esfuerzo, amabilidad y hospitalidad. Pedí un pastel para una fiesta de cumpleaños de Rumania y las damas tuvieron mucha paciencia e hicieron que el pastel se viera exactamente como esperábamos. ¡Muchas gracias!

Highlight of our breakfast experience while in Bellagio. We stayed at Domus Bellagio and ate here each morning for breakfast. Oh. My. God. We relished our pastries, goodies, and morning beverages. What a way to start each day. Thank you for the exceptional service and tasty food choices, baked fresh each and every day.
