Am I the only one who finds it inelegant to slam the tablecloth on the floor to make room for the next customer?
The interior space is worthy of a city like Milan: very narrow and meticulously designed.
The prices are also (un)worthy of a city like Milan.

A historic pastry shop in the Corso Magenta area of Milan—a competitor to Biffi, which is just a few steps away.
The cream is very good (in both shops), as is the coffee/cappuccino in all its variations—and the staff is extremely friendly (all the men at the coffee counter, while the women behind the pastry counter are quite sullen). The windows are beautiful, and change theme based on the season and the nearest holiday.
Prices are like jewelry stores, as is the case throughout the area.
The chocolates, however, are less good—I've tried almost all of them, and they're nothing special. Some of the mini pastries are better than others (the mini Sachertorte is very tasty and chocolaty). The chocolate brioche is nothing special: the chocolate cream isn't Nutella-like; it's not very flavorful, a bit bland, and too runny.
I've never had lunch, partly because the place is outside, and I can't imagine the price for a salad.
I don't know what the point is, but around the corner there's a sort of branch of the bar, still under the same ownership and same name - which only makes coffee and has a limited selection of desserts.

Everything was excellent, from the food to the service. But the desserts... they're not just excellent, they're spectacular works of art.

A historic Milanese venue that immediately impresses with its elegant setting and attentive service. The pastry selection is extensive: from croissants to cakes and refined savory options, all of excellent quality. An absolute must-try is the "Mantovana" filled with custard cream, a true house specialty.
Prices are on the higher side, especially when seated at a table, but the overall experience remains distinguished.

This is what Italy is famous for. Little Italy. I recommend it, you won't be disappointed.
