A must-visit in Merano ☕🍰 Top cakes, top coffee, classics with class. Not just all kinds of cakes, but also rich pastries, fine chocolates, freshly squeezed juices, and really lovely sweet gift ideas 🎁 A quick little moment today: latte art on a cappuccino at a beginner level 😅 It happens. Otherwise, consistently excellent. Sweet. Solid. Always a pleasure. 🍰🍰🍰🍰🍰 And they also give restaurant recommendations.

Super vegan friendly! Oat milk, cookie on the side is vegan and one or two hefty cake. Classic Italian style coffee. Super delicious!

A pastry shop and café with indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly and fast service. A wide selection of teas, infusions, and other hot beverages. A wide selection of cakes and pastries, including some vegan cakes and cookies. Their variation of the classic Sacher torte, with a meringue filling, is highly recommended: unparalleled! The coffee is also excellent.

Hotel Col Alto Restaurant

28/03/2026: Second time visiting Col Alto Hotel and it was, like last time, everything and more! Best location, incredible rooms & fitness/spa facilities, and most importantly wonderful staff! Esther was serving us throughout are week and she was honestly incredible. She would greet us with such warmth every morning and go above and beyond for us. Esther we couldn’t be more grateful for everything, you are truly the BEST!
06/03/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Col Alto. The location is fantastic, and the buses to get you to/from the ski lifts were quick and efficient. The pool and saunas were clean, and perfect relaxing environments after a long day of skiing. We especially loved the breakfast buffet, complete with a ton of gluten free options. The rooms are a little dated, but that's so easy to look past with all of the other great things this hotel has to offer. We would no doubt stay here again. The ski rental shop next door gives you a great discount if you mention you are staying at Hotel Col Alto as well!
