We were wandering around that area looking for an Ischia croissant, as soon as we entered the very kind lady with glasses welcomed us. We consumed 2 Ischia croissants and 2 glasses of milk at the table. I recommend you stop by, they are very kind and the products are fresh and good.

During our stay in Ischia we drank a cup of coffee there every morning and ate a small sweet. It was always a good start to the day. The pastries on offer were always fresh, yes and the coffee and in all variations. Not to forget: the friendly service. Not always easy with a vacationer in Italy without knowledge of Italian.

I have friends who come to Ischia every summer and have, as a fixed appointment that they cannot ignore, breakfast at Minicucci. I make this premise because I believe that in reviews we should always make a distinction between subjective factors and objective factors. Personally, I don't like eating sitting at tables positioned in the middle of the street with people walking past you. It bothers me. So it's not my habit to have breakfast at Minicucci because the tables are located along a passing street. Sometimes I get croissants and staples there and eat them at home. The flavor isn't bad. I tried the cream and black cherry croissant and the chocolate one. In my opinion not very filling, not very appetizing. The staple with cream and also the vegan croissant with blueberry jam are decent. Never had any problems with the staff. Normal exchange of words to ask and receive the order. These are subjective data. Objectively it is not an out of the way bar (as I have read in some reviews) given that it is located in the center of the municipality of Ischia, in one of the busiest streets. Prices are average for the island or high.

Very good vegan and barley coffee with special soy milk, it is not obvious because I found barley coffee with a very bitter blend in other bars in Ischia, here it is excellent. The assortment of brioss is also remarkable. I recommend a trip to this bar-pastry shop

We went there to get some ice cream and it was so good, we came back the next day to get more. The ice is fantastic and the young lady selling it so friendly and sweet.

21/03/2025: We were with a school group in this place for two consecutive evenings. We were impressed by the hospitality and the human warmth that the owner and the staff showed us. We enjoyed delicious pasta and potatoes and tasted the splendid zeppole di San Giuseppe offered by the house. Excellent impression of Naples thanks to exquisite people like them. In addition, we met the two former footballers Careca and Alemao, beloved by the city

La Pagliarella

08/09/2024: La Pagliarella is not a restaurant! Pagliarella is a state of mind! Variable, grouchy and "inclusive" like the "Mr." Enzo!!! Pagliarella is Anarchy and Improvisation; like the fried food which is just the one of the day (for real!). And there isn't another 🤣. It's Pasta allo Scoglio as an Ischian "Lady" by birth and life would make it! It's the grilled sausage for the child allergic to fish (what a wonderfully simple find!) It's the homemade wine from the jug! It's the grilled sea bass that heats up the kitchen perpetually upside down!!! It's the French fries that arrive at the end of the meal, because frying took longer than it should have, but they are local and delicious!!! It is the place where at the end of the dinner the tables no longer have a number because the diners talk to each other, they mix, sitting one here and the other there (incredible in 2024!!!). It's the place where Enzo welcomes and chases away "whoever the hell he wants"!!! La Pagliarella is a place to hate, but it is better to love and protect! La Pagliarella is the place where you go out to dine and come home "confused"... better to stay at home and enjoy frozen globalization!!!
02/09/2024: Enzo's Restaurant is a pearl on the island of Ischia and by far the best meal we had on the island. There is no menu and you have to immerse yourself in the experience of having something conjured up. Enzo asks what you would like to eat and will conjure up something according to the guest's wishes. Anyone who wants fixed dishes according to a recipe will be disappointed here, but anyone who wants to be inspired by the owner's cooking skills will get their money's worth here. We reserved a table straight away for the next day. Enzo is sometimes alone, sometimes with a waiter. So it's a good idea to bring some time with you, but if you have some imagination and time, you won't be disappointed here!
