I've been going to this pastry shop for 15 years, always for the panettone at Christmas, which is my absolute favorite along with Marchesi. Even after the change of management, the flavor has remained the same. I recently went for some zeppole di San Giuseppe and they were sublime, and I ordered the Colomba. I'd never had one before, but perhaps because I had high expectations, it's not up to the quality of a panettone in my opinion. The dough is a bit dry and lacks flavor, the icing and candied fruit are excellent. The addition of a coffee shop was a good choice; before, it was a minus in my opinion. I haven't experienced the chaotic service that many complain about; perhaps I was lucky, but even before, the service was always a bit spartan, friendly but cold. So for now, I'm giving it 4 stars, taking one less just for the Colomba, because the quality of the products is still excellent. It's very difficult to find the same quality except in a few highly regarded establishments, and not always even then.

I live in Crema, but on Thursday I was in Milan and stopped by the pastry shop to buy a Colomba cake.
It's the best! Truly exceptional, I made a wonderful impression on my guests. Highly recommended. Great Migliavacca pastry shop 💯👏

Breakfast at Migliavacca has become an unmissable ritual. Every time you pass by their windows and workshop, the aroma is irresistible. The prices—though above average—are still understandable, considering the high quality of the ingredients and workmanship.

I bought a panettone before Christmas, realized I'd left it in the pantry, and opened it at the end of February. I thought it was hard and inedible, but I was surprised by how soft and fragrant it still was, as if it were freshly baked! The excellent air bubbles and the elasticity of the dough made it seem freshly baked. But why don't you make panettone all year round? 😁
