Every morning we are at Marcello's! Everything is excellent from breakfast to aperitif

Yesterday morning I ordered a caffe latte (deca. without foam), but now I'm pretty sure that the coffee they gave me contained caffeine! Because it's now 04:39 and I still can't sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I pass by Viale Europa I stop at a top pastry shop

Always quality pastries. Service? Friends first, then if and when, your turn too. Sometimes a bit of kindness even in serving a pudding or a croissant would be nice. But it's always been that way.

Buona la pasticceria , anche se tempo fa era davvero di eccellenza , ma il servizio è davvero migliorabile , cappuccio tiepido non buono e poca empatia al banco dei dolci , sembra quasi che gli rompi le scatole , avevano distaccato il competitor li vicino , ma adesso è tutta un altra storia

Breakfast at Marcello's is always an experience...high pastry shop, well-kept environment, friendly staff and very high quality

At first glance it's a nice place, but then you realize that it's a bit dated: the floor is very worn, the wood of the furniture is worn and so on. The service at the counter is not fast, the cappuccino is below average and even the pastries are nothing special. There is much better nearby. Sin.

Pasticcini buoni, ma il livello di professionalità è calato drasticamente. Capisco che prendere una dipendente di bella presenza abbia i suoi vantaggi, ma non è sufficiente. Servizio imbarazzante. Ultima volta.

Let me start by saying that this pastry shop is really good in terms of the quality of the food, everything both sweet and savory is excellent. Today, however, I encountered an unpleasant service. A few days ago I ordered a cake for an anniversary, in the meantime I asked if they would take the meal vouchers I had, they replied in the affirmative, but said that I would pay when I collected it (obviously due to the weight of the cake ordered). I arrive today to collect it, I approach the cashier with the meal vouchers in hand but the cashier tells me "kindly" and with a superior tone: "for cakes only with cash or paper". I ask her why and she replies that now they no longer accept meal vouchers for cakes and trays. I found it a little unfair given that when ordering I was told that I could pay with those meal vouchers and that I have ALWAYS paid for the cakes with vouchers! I understand everything, but point it out to the customer immediately, not at the time of payment which obviously has to be done! Maybe write it down somewhere, so we avoid misunderstandings. It's a shame, also because the prices aren't the cheapest, a cake for 6 people cost €50! Too bad, really too bad!!!!
