I tasted the sbrisolona.
I bow to your work.

My friend from Mantua recommended this pastry shop to me as the best. She was right! We ate a divine "trancia"; I've never had a "millefoglie" like it! I also brought their Sbrisolona back to Rome and found it superior, delicious! In the other pastry shops I've tried in the city, you could always taste the butter, but here, not at all, a delicious and authentic flavor! Also, a shout out to the lady behind the counter, humble and very sweet. I'll be back, thank you!

I'd give more stars if I could. Gianni, the pastry chef and his collaborator, were very kind. Excellent and historic pastry shop.

Excellent classic pastry shop! Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices. Definitely the best pastry shop in Mantua for those not looking for a modern pastry shop. A must-see!

Wanting to take home some traditional sweets, perhaps even as gifts, we asked a local for advice, who directed us to this historic pastry shop, whose aromas waft through Via San Longino, right in the historic center. The sbrisolona, which we knew well, was very good. As for the Helvezia, since I'm not familiar with it, I have no basis for comparison, so I can't comment (it's too sweet for my taste anyway). The place is quaint, and the staff were very courteous and helpful. I'm not giving it top marks just because I didn't try anything else, but what was on display in the windows was certainly very inviting.

Small, artisanal, and historic pastry shop in the heart of Mantua, here you can find pastries made as they once were, beautiful and generous in size. Among our favorites are the potato cake with a generous zabaglione filling, the brick, the Greek cake, and the fantastic Elvezia. The Anello di Monaco is also excellent. The accompanying label recommends warming the cake slightly for best enjoyment, a recommendation we have adopted.
Mr. Gianni and his staff are not only highly knowledgeable and kind, but are always available to explain the methods and ingredients of their fantastic desserts.
A true artisanal pastry shop.
Our sweet stop when we visit Mantua.
Compliments to Mr. Gianni and his entire staff.

A traditional pastry shop: simple yet perfectly crafted products. I recommend the cream puff with zabaglione and the Swiss cake. A must-try in the center of Mantua.
