Lovely old place with a lot of history. The cakes are delicious. It's always busy and a bit chaotic inside with ordering cakes and coffee. It only has a couple of tables inside to sit to have a coffee and cake. Outside there is more space to sit and eat. Overall I love this place and always go there when we go to Trieste.

This pastry shop is my must-visit when I come to Trieste. It's a truly charming period place, but it's cramped inside and very crowded. The pastries are a delight, but to be able to buy them, you have to contend with the organization, which, despite the staff's goodwill, isn't the best. So, you need to be patient because there's always a wait.

Tappa immancabile del nostro tour tra le pasticcerie triestine. Ci hanno accolti calorosamente spiegandoci i vari dolci tipici e consigliandoci in base ai nostri gusti le tre specialità che ci hanno quindi servito elegantemente al tavolo su strada accompagnati da un buon caffè e dall'immancabile bicchierino di cioccolata fredda. La Putizza, la Linzer al Mirtillo Rosso e la Rigojancsi de La Bomboniera sono divine!

Una venerable institución de Trieste. Pasteles bellamente presentados, excelente café con un chorrito de chocolate caliente de cortesía. Popular entre los lugareños y los visitantes por igual. El interior es hermoso y el personal es muy agradable.

29/12/2025: The appetizers and first courses were very good. On the other hand, the second courses were all bad. Another negative is that there's no wine list (!?!?) so you have to ask how much each bottle costs, which isn't a pleasant feeling. Price, without dessert, was just under €85 each.
30/11/2025: Very nice restaurant, a small space where you immediately feel at home! The staff is attentive and great to be around thanks to their kindness and professionalism. Excellent seafood dishes! From gratin to fresh fish! Excellent wine selection!
