We've stayed at Le Civette several times, and it's always a great experience. The place is magnificent, a country farmhouse with three pools, one of which is entirely dedicated to dogs. The food is excellent (the grilled meats are especially delicious) and the wine cellar is well-stocked. Alberto is truly a character, and our dog loves him when he sees him arrive with a Florentine steak bone all for himself. ☺️ We'll definitely be back!

POOL with restaurant... NO!! EXCELLENT RESTAURANT with pools... YES! Yesterday, Saturday, July 12, 2025, we visited Casolare Le Civette for the first time. I'll elaborate because this restaurant absolutely deserves the attention it deserves, just like all the others we received yesterday! It's worth noting that it's only a quarter of an hour from Ferrara and you're immediately immersed in a relaxing atmosphere, with the scents of the countryside, the presence of animals like chickens, goats, and donkeys on one side and the restaurant entrance on the other. We were greeted by the very friendly staff and the (very approachable) owner, who immediately showed us where we could sit by the pool. Our reservation was made with priority for the restaurant/grill and, of course, for the pool as well. I want to emphasize this, because you can't think of coming to this farmhouse, which was originally intended as a restaurant, just to take a dip in the pool! After sunbathing and swimming in a relaxing atmosphere, with just the right music and the usual chatter of the people, we went to eat. We chose the meat (mixed ribs and fillet), which was SPECTACULAR both in its cooking and flavor, and the side dishes were also very good. It was all accompanied by a wine recommended by the owner and which paired perfectly with our dishes. The staff was just the right amount, which was unexpected considering they were also managing a wedding. The atmosphere was pleasant and festive, people happily relaxing and having fun, dogs happy to splash around in their pool, loving cats, and Francone at the bar ready to welcome you with his cocktails!! And so the afternoon by the pool was at times relaxing and at times fun. The owner showed us the cellar and was extremely friendly with all the guests! The quality of the raw materials, the cooking, and the flavor are all top notch. The meat melts in your mouth and tastes excellent! Prices are average; we didn't find anything shocking! The portions were absolutely adequate. It was a truly wonderful day and, above all, a pleasant surprise! Thank you, we'll be back soon! Federica and Michele

It's a small, relaxing, green corner just steps from the city. Visually, it looks like a place you might find in Umbria, given the abundance of greenery. For those with dogs of any size, it's almost a unique place, given the very limited availability in the area for those who want to bring their pets to the pool for refreshments. I think the mechanism that regulates attendance (daily admission fee that includes lunch or dinner) is appropriate for a facility that primarily serves food, especially since the quality of the food offered is medium-high, with a good cellar if you want a non-house wine (which is, by the way, a good Pignoletto). I often return here with my dogs and friends, and so far I'm not disappointed at all; on the contrary...I'd dare to recommend it.

I've been frequenting this "oasis" near the city with my human and furry family and friends for many years. An enchanting location for its hospitality, the quality of the food and wine, the superb grill, and the informal, family atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the first moment. Surrounded by lush nature, it offers both humans (adults and children) and four-legged friends the refreshment of several well-organized pools suitable for everyone. The entire staff is always efficient and courteous. Alberto, the owner, a great animal lover, has created, with his creativity, undeniable professionalism, and passion, a place you won't find anywhere else... and one that many envy us for. good food in a pleasant environment, pets are welcome and there is even a swimming pool for them... brilliant idea... congratulations.

We always stop here every time we pass through Ferrara. The staff is friendly and genuine. The food is good and plentiful, and the price is fair. It's a wonderful place, with the option of taking a dip in the pool after lunch and recharging your batteries for the rest of your trip. My girls love seeing the animals up close; the donkeys are sometimes let loose on the property, which is surrounded by green countryside. I highly recommend it.

It saved my day! Excellent food in a heavenly, relaxing, well-kept environment, with trees that cool from the sun and splendid background music at a perfect volume (you can hear it but it doesn't interfere). The managers and staff are great. THANK YOU!

It's hard to rate this place. Sometimes you eat excellently, sometimes worse than in a canteen. The place is beautiful, but really not well cared for. The owner is a strange one, but if he likes you, you get into his good graces. Sometimes you spend too much, other times you are absolutely satisfied. In short, I don't recommend it, but I've been there many times and I will certainly return 😁
