I just had a chocolate colomba for breakfast. The sensation of flavors is indescribable. Sweet, fragrant, soft, fab!

I arrived in Bergamo from Florence for a few days, and since I had to go to dinner with friends, I was looking for a good pastry shop nearby. Google suggested Pasticceria Giove, and I have to say it was the best recommendation possible. The pastry chef was extremely friendly and helpful; you could tell he's passionate about what he does and prepares everything himself. The pastries I brought for dinner were literally dusted in minutes, and the cream-filled cannoncini bergamaschi—which he recommended—were simply exceptional. A truly pleasant discovery: top-notch quality, incredibly fresh products, and a rare welcome. Highly recommended!

A pastry shop that appears simple from the outside, but hides a level of craftsmanship that is now extremely rare. No bar, no flashy signs, no "fashionable" atmosphere: just a tiny workshop with the pastry chef actually working behind the counter and the lady at the counter who serves customers kindly. It's one of those places you almost never notice... until you walk in. The krapfen are their jewel: light, fluffy, perfectly fried, and filled on the spot (like the croissants) with a fresh, artisanal vanilla cream, slightly sweet, with tiny black dots of vanilla. They're so easy to digest they almost seem baked. The artisanal cookies are also excellent—the Baci di Dama, made with real ground hazelnut flour, are a must-try—and the seasonal products prepared in small quantities: spiced biscuits, marron glacés sold individually, chocolate-dipped cherries... everything carefully crafted, everything fresh. A pastry shop from another era: sincere, authentic, made with hands and real ingredients. A true gem hidden in Ponte San Pietro, it's a historic establishment worth supporting as more and more shops are closing. Highly recommended for those who love well-made desserts.
