I happened to stop by with friends for a coffee and met a dear friend who used to work at another establishment now closed. Her professionalism and courtesy are worth a visit—I'm talking about Angela, who's now behind the counter. I must say her expertise definitely warrants further visits, not just for a coffee, but also for the pastry shop or tobacco shop. A must-visit if you're passing through.

Breakfasts are perfect: delicious bread, though the pastries are unfortunately too small, but they have a sweet and delicate flavor. A wide variety of biscuits and brioches; personally, the white chocolate one is the perfect indulgence. Welcoming and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

If you can tackle the parking (and it's there, my friends. You just have to be tactical) this is a must (unless you are down in Como and can go to their spot there)! My husband and I "made a date" to stop for a most excellent brioche and cappuccino on our way to an appointment in Como. We both commented that it was like being on vacation. Kind and welcoming service even though this a super busy spot. Love it!

18/05/2026: Excellent regional dishes. The seating is in true Italian style. Large portions. We shared a pasta dish and then each had a main course – we could barely finish our portions. Very good value for money. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would gladly return myself ☺️
17/05/2026: We visited Il Carrettiere and it was a wonderful discovery. You can immediately sense the passion, hard work, and attention to detail. The restaurant is very clean, welcoming, and tastefully decorated. The interior design is truly high-quality: authentic, coherent, and meticulously crafted, yet elegant and tasteful. The atmosphere exudes a true old-school Italian atmosphere in the best sense of the word, an atmosphere increasingly rare these days. The cuisine is truly top-notch. The pizza is prepared according to the finest Italian tradition, while the fritto misto and seafood pasta were exceptional. In particular, the fritto misto was probably the best I've had in Como: everything was incredibly fresh, light, and perfectly cooked. The service was also very professional, attentive, and kind. It was a truly pleasant experience from every perspective. Sincere compliments to the entire team and a heartfelt thank you!

04/04/2026: The food and atmosphere of the bar and restaurant in the square of this small, quiet village are really good. It would have been a full 5-star if it hadn't had the prices of foreign customers, or if the dishes had been a little more abundant to justify the price. Especially the octopus on chickpea cream is really good, but €25 for two tentacles (considering how big they are) is really too much. Spritz €7 with olives and chips, the second courses are all €25. The price in general is really a bit too high, unfortunately I think it's due to the area being frequented mostly by foreigners, but... we're here too... so if you want to spend a little, the food is worth it.
