We also tried the "Patientina" there, and we can say it's the best in Padua. The staff was very kind and gave us a little gift because it was Women's Day.

I came from Bologna on a trip specifically for their Venetian fritters, with zabaglione cream and apple cinnamon. These are places I used to go to in the late 1990s when I lived in Padua. They're clean, have a wide selection, are friendly, and have quality products. Worth it. Note: The €1 glass bottle of San Pellegrino water is hard to find anywhere else. Absolute quality and customer service.

Trattoria Basso Isonzo

23/12/2025: I went for a family dinner a few weeks ago after hearing the sad news that this historic Padua trattoria was closing its doors. Living out of the area, I hadn't been there for years, but the quality remained unchanged. Excellent food at a great price. It's a shame that these increasingly rare establishments are gradually disappearing.
21/12/2025: Old-fashioned trattoria with homemade food. Great prices. It's a real shame it's closing.
