Pasticceria Demetrio In Pavia

As always, the cappuccino and croissant were very good. However, every time I go for breakfast, it's crowded due to staff shortages. Two girls can't manage the cash register, bring cappuccinos, and clean tables at the same time. I should point out that the staff is really good at managing everything, but it's just too much work for two. P.S. I gave a €5 tip after paying for the cappuccino and croissant, and the girl was so busy she put it on the register, thinking it was a payment. Manager, let's give these employees a break.

We ordered brioches and coffees. We had to ask for the coffees three times because they kept forgetting to serve them to the terrace tables. Good product, very slow service

The macchiato with milk that tastes like cream is fantastic! The Baci di Pavia are excellent, very fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

With the Viale Matteotti location, I've officially experienced all the Demetrio pastry shops in Pavia, and the idea remains the same: they're a sure bet for the city. The puff pastry pastries are all equally good. I couldn't decide which is my favorite. Perhaps I would have made the pain au chocolat a little less buttery, but as for the Danish pastry with fresh fruit and cream: I'm not giving it the highest rating only because I've found a better one elsewhere, also in Pavia. The cream is always flawless, with its many hints of vanilla. The cappuccino is excellent, as usual. It's clear the staff is well-trained, because so far I've never had a cappuccino with any issues with the foam or flavor. I love Demetrio's interior design: minimalist, with lots of light and the trademark turquoise hue. It's nice to see so much youth in the pastry shop. In short: for me, Demetrio has become synonymous with Pavia, with its strengths and weaknesses. I'll gladly return to try the various mini and single-serving dishes the place has to offer.

I had a great time especially with Matteo, the housekeeping guy, a super sunny and positive guy with whom I had a pleasant conversation, it was a pleasant afternoon experience where you could drink a good coffee!
