Travel break with excellent breakfast. The artisanal croissants are particularly tasty. Having noticed some particularly inviting zeppole, we purchased some for lunch. What a show! I will return to Policoro to re-appreciate the specialties of my grandfather's pastry shop

After about a year, coming down to Calabria, remembering the excellent previous experience, I stopped in Policoro at the Del Nonno pastry bar. It was an excellent confirmation!!! Freshly baked croissants and brioches with a delicious cream inside and the inevitable black cherry as a frame. The new experience, however, is linked to the carnival 'chatter' present in the stall. These struck the members of the group I was traveling with and we inevitably dove into tasting them: very light, tasty, crumbly and above all not greasy. Well done everyone!! Until next time

03/07/2025: I went to this pizzeria for lunch for the first time. I immediately noticed the kindness and welcome of the staff and the quality and quantity of the pizza ingredients, which were truly excellent. Top quality/price ratio, coming from Bari I was pleasantly surprised by the bill, given that here in Puglia the prices are often unbalanced or even excessive for a pizza with the family. I will return with great pleasure.
30/06/2025: We went there on a Saturday night after booking. The place is nice and the pizza is good (even if the pizza chefs should check the cooking), but the service is decidedly poor, especially if you are greeted by a gentleman in the dining room who tends to snort when he sees you and who smiles at you ironically when you make a request. Dear sir, being a waiter is an art for few and when you reach a certain age and the passion wanes it is better to retire.

21/07/2025: What can I say? Everything was excellent. Impeccable service Enchanting location Superlative food... compliments to chef Giuseppe... and all the staff... I hope to return soon...
13/07/2025: The meal was good, although €30 for a veal steak seems excessive. The outdoor seating is great, but you can't sit at those sloping plastic tables; just touching them made everything shake. Also, if I may, give the waiters a course on how to open a bottle of wine; it tortured her, poor thing. Anyway, I'd go back.
