🍰 A masterpiece of sweetness (even gluten-free!)
I had the pleasure of trying this heart-shaped cake from Pasticceria De Leo in Lecce and I can't help but be extremely satisfied. Finding a gluten-free product with such attention to taste and aesthetics is not a given!
Despite being a gluten-free version, the texture was impeccable: soft and moist, indistinguishable from a traditional cake.
The red mirror glaze is vibrant and perfect for a special occasion, and the decorations (the cute teddy bear and birds) add a truly sweet touch of craftsmanship.
The combination chosen is a timeless classic, masterfully executed: Chantilly cream, light, velvety, and not overly sweet. Nutella is present in just the right amount to add indulgence without overpowering the other flavors, and the crunchy brittle adds a crunchy note and creates the perfect contrast with the softness of the cream.
In short, if you're looking for a pastry shop in Lecce that handles gluten-free products with dedication, creativity, and plenty of flavor, De Leo is a guarantee.

If you're looking for the perfect combination of Salento tradition and food safety, Pasticceria De Leo is a must-see. Often, for those who must eat gluten-free, the compromise is flavor or texture; here, however, the difference is virtually unnoticeable.
The place is welcoming, and the staff demonstrates great knowledge about intolerances, instilling a sense of security and trust in the customers.
It's the ideal place for a worry-free breakfast or to order a cake that will wow all your guests, celiac or not.
My advice: Don't limit yourself to classic desserts; try their more elaborate creations. "Gluten-free" here is an art, not a limitation. An essential Lecce destination for those who want to experience the pleasure of fine pastry making.

I discovered this pastry shop through a friend. Their pasticciotto cake with cream and black cherries was recommended to me. I have to say, it's truly spectacular: a delicate cream, a perfect contrast with just the right amount of black cherries, and a pastry baked to perfection. I don't know the owners, but if they're as good as their pasticciotto cake, they'll surely be exceptional. Top notch!!!
