Pasticceria Da Bonifacio In Venezia

During our four-day trip to Venice, we visited this shop twice, both times for breakfast. They have a wide selection of pastries, and while the shop is small, the atmosphere is lively! The staff are also very friendly, and standing up to enjoy a cappuccino and pastries is a wonderful Italian breakfast experience! The prices are also very reasonable, much better than some fancy-looking places.

Pastry shop, a café in the heart of Venice, and one of the best we've ever tried. Unbeatable service, the waitress who served us was super helpful and friendly. The counter is small, but enough to enjoy a wonderful coffee and a delicious pastry.

Wonderful locally owned pastry shop! One of our guides shared this place with us and we went multiple times. Decadent pastries! Much better and less expensive than the places on the square. Highly recommend this lovely place!

I wish I had one of these near my house. So delicious! Everything I ate was wonderful. With flavors that Brazilians like. Because most Italian sweets are sugar-free. It's a shame I discovered this place on my last day in Venice. The owner, an Italian, was very friendly. She served us very well. I didn't ask her name, but she was great. I had an apple sweet and a wonderful almond cornetto. I recommend it!!

Pistachio cannoli and coffee were the best. Great service.

We had breakfast at this small downtown pastry shop twice: the leavened pastries were truly excellent (I recommend the pain au chocolate and brioche). There's a small high table where you can sit and eat in, or you can take it to go.

Pasticceria Bonifacio sits tucked behind the Ducal Palace, the kind of place gondoliers slip into for value and locals trust for quality. By day it turns out alcohol-laced cakes, buttery cornetti and rich fruit breads; by night, anchovy-topped tartlets and spritzes. I asked the lady behind the counter to choose me a half-dozen of their best – a midnight box of pasticcini: crostata di riso, torta della nonna, tiramisù, torta al cioccolato, ricotta slice, and a bigné. Each carried that balance of tradition and indulgence that makes Venetian baking so satisfying. A proper neighbourhood spot, just steps from San Marco yet worlds away.

Coffee and cannoli were great. We had a chocolate biscuit as well which was just ok. The staff weren't overly welcoming. No seating. Good for a quick stop and coffee fix.
