The cakes and pastries are very good but it happened that the waiter took two cakes with his bare hands without using the appropriate tongs, I was a little disappointed.

During a weekend trip to Sondrio with my husband and children, we were recommended this pastry shop for breakfast. Located opposite the train station, in a somewhat unassuming and out-of-the-way area, but still just a few minutes from the city center, it has a lovely, bright veranda overlooking the square, with several tables and a few inside. Decorated in a contemporary style, it features a charming counter where you can choose from a selection of pastries and brioches. We chose pain au chocolat, a papillon (puff pastry brioche) filled with cream, and two maritozzi. Everything was truly fragrant and delicious, including the masterfully crafted cappuccinos. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, and reasonable prices: I would return and recommend it.
