Pasticceria Ballico In Padova

I have known this pastry shop all my life, since I was a child, and every now and then I return punctually to get something. I have always found courtesy and excellent quality, never been disappointed, therefore I remain very perplexed (and doubtful) about some negative reviews that I have seen.

Excellent pancakes filled with cream and/or eggnog for Carnival!

The years pass, we try other pastry shops, even award-winning ones.... and nothing, Ballico always remains the best in Padua

Every time I return to Padua I find the same taste of the chocolate pastries I ate when I left school as a child. Pastry shop worth trying for the quality and kindness of the staff. Well done!

Small environment but with a vast assortment of sweet products, pastries, pastries, croissants etc... Very kind, friendly, above all human and professional staff, located in a very busy area near Prato della Valle and near the centre, historic pastry shop... I took 4 croissants, two cream, one apricot jam and one chocolate... Let's start with the dough which is super soft but with consistency, not too sweet but very tasty... The croissant with the cream has a super soft and dense cream, super tasty without being too sugary, with icing sugar on top... The chocolate croissant has 1-2 chocolate bars inside which don't melt but remain really crunchy and tasty which are not sweet but really taste like chocolate, with chocolate strips on top, the only flaw is that since they don't melt there seems to be little seasoning... The jam croissant is well "seasoned" with every bite you can taste the jam of apricots which is really fresh and really tastes like apricot jam, very tasty and not heavy, price 1.70 euros per croissant, it's worth it... I recommend it...
