Passando per Modena In Padova

We happened upon this place for dinner... I'd already tried it while passing through Rome. The dishes offered reflect Romagna tradition. I had pasta with truffle and pancetta, but the green tagliatelle with mushrooms was also good. We then had dessert: a Modena gem! Mascarpone, Nutella, and amaretto: good, but cloying. I recommend the small coppa. The service was quick, the atmosphere was nice, but I found it a bit disorganized and unwelcoming, which is why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. Prices are average for the place. 2 first courses, 2 glasses of wine, 1 water, a small and a large coppa dessert, and cover charge: €55. There isn't much parking, as it's right under the porticoes of Prato della Valle.

Excellent welcome and service. I went twice, it’s so good. It is inexpensive, which means, however, that the separate ingredients are not costly, but the lovely combinations of the inspired chef are delicious. For instance, the beef in the tagliata was not as subtle as you might get at twice the price, but the setting within the salad and delicate shavings of grana and some tasty berries was magnificent. Another day the traditional green-pasta lasagna was as great as ever. I loved the dessert of small sugary pastries with a cherry middle to be dipped in liqueur, “little dreams.” Highly recommended.

Do you know what distinguishes a decent restaurant from a serious one? The ability to handle unexpected events with professionalism. Despite a small initial hiccup, I can only highly recommend this place. The cutlets are enormous and delicious, now one of our favorite dishes every time we come here. There were some initial difficulties, admittedly, but everything was resolved very efficiently. A special thanks to the girl at the cashier: friendly, professional, and capable of turning a critical moment into an excellent experience. Until next time, and thanks again... The appetizer is amazing. The cutlet is too. I didn't order dessert only because I was so full. Don't order two plates like the ones I had because they are VERY filling, even if VERY good. 10 out of 10.

I had lunch here with some friends to celebrate the Christmas holidays; the service was quite good, although two of the waitresses seemed a bit annoyed, which was evident while they were serving us. The dishes are quite generous (you leave feeling full). We tried various dishes, including first and second courses. The only dish I have to complain about is the truffle passateli on a parmesan cream: in my opinion, the pasta was overcooked, the amount of truffle was too much, making the flavor too strong (I like truffle, but here I could tell it was overdone), the truffle-parmesan combination (which is salty by nature) was fine, but the portions were wrong in my opinion, especially since there's crispy pancetta, which made the dish too salty since the portions weren't right. Otherwise, it was quite good!

Nice place, definitely to try if one wants to explore Emilia's cuisine.

We had dinner here on an evening with friends in February and had a great time. Good, innovative food and excellent quality! We had a few minutes of waiting, but no problem, we had time for a chat. The waiters were helpful, and one guy in particular gave us some advice on our choices. ^_^ The innovative location transports you straight to another world, to the Modena of a while back... I'll be back, thank you so much!

Excellent restaurant in Prato della Valle. Excellent traditional and revisited Modenese dishes. Excellent value. My only complaint: sometimes the food is a little too al dente. The staff is also very knowledgeable. Anyway...highly recommended!! Every time I go back, it's always a surprise. This time, too, it was an excellent lunch.
