We (group of 6) had an absolutely delightful meal. Wine recs were phenomenal, and the entire table chose the 5 course tasting menu. 4 courses were fish (all very beautifully presented and delightfully varied in manner), a variety of small sides, homemade breads, and a decadent dessert. Our server, Mattea, or Matteo, was so helpful and knowledgeable. Every option he suggested was perfect. Highly recommend. We all loved the entire experience.

I don’t even know what to say about this place. For the price you pay the food is underwhelming and not that great. We did the chef’s choice for €90/pp. Started out sitting in a bright area with direct view of the kitchen (can see through glass doors). Service began with a stoic server that provided no pleasantries, which is fine but makes the meal feel very…stern. However, she was professional. Halfway through the meal she dipped and the manager (I think?) ended up serving us. No biggie, but for the price point the lack of comms was strange. Food was consistently underwhelming; octopus pasta was overly salty and octopus mushy. Second pasta dish was good but nothing to write home about. Bread was decent and so was the Sicilian olive oil. Shrimp dish was probably the best out of them all. The main pork dish (cooked in its own fat, no less!) was no bueno. Again, too salty and not soft as advertised. We decided to bring our food home at the end, and I saw one of the workers in the kitchen lick her fingers after she placed our food in boxes. Wine was good, but manager forgot to let us taste it before pouring the glass. Then he said “you can try it if you want”. We just chuckled… can’t make this stuff up. I understand it was late night but imho not worth visiting this establishment. Just our experience.

We booked with the fork and got a €50 discount. They ask for a credit card to charge a €50 no-show fee per person (unusual, but I understand. They only have four tables inside, and it's unfair to not show up). Everything was delicious and well-crafted. The shrimp was exceptional. The service was almost perfect (subtleties, mostly because it's in the Michelin guide; otherwise, you wouldn't have even noticed). Only complaint: the octopus was way too salty. They ran out of it after our dish, so it was probably leftover from the cooking liquid, which increased the saltiness. Generally, it's more pleasant. I'll give it 5 out of 5 stars anyway. Recommended.
Note for the restaurant: you served a very good olive oil with truly exquisite bread. The oil was described as "Sicilian," but when asked "where exactly?" The waitress didn't know what to say, I told her it wasn't a problem and that maybe during dinner she could ask in the kitchen because I was curious, but my curiosity wasn't satisfied because they never updated me (we're talking about a Michelin restaurant, not a tavern; from the taste, I would have said the area between Catania and Messina, but I'll probably never know). Second tip: we mentioned the overly salty taste in the octopus sauce (for us, it was the octopus, not the paccheri or the tomato), the waitress immediately apologized, but usually the chef tastes the product again and gives his feedback to the table, perhaps apologizing (we can all make mistakes) and/or offering a wine (we don't drink, but when we go to Michelin-starred restaurants, this proposal has also happened, obviously declined by us but it's appreciated) or a dessert or something else as a nice gesture. This didn't happen, but it's not a problem anyway. I simply recommend pampering the customer by perhaps offering something extra or not charging for a dish if they didn't particularly like it (it wasn't a criticism of the taste, that's personal and I would never point it out to the chef, it was just salty).

Let's start by saying that it's located just a three-minute walk from Siena's city center, making it easy to reach even by taxi or public transportation. The restaurant boasts a striking location, visible from the outside thanks to the glass walls (you can immediately tell it's a high-end restaurant).
As soon as we entered (there were two of us), we were greeted by two very young but very professional and polite young men. They accompanied us to our table and recommended either a tasting menu to try multiple dishes or an à la carte menu if we'd chosen something more specific. We opted for an à la carte menu with an appetizer and a first course, paired with an excellent wine recommended by the young man who welcomed us.
I won't go into too much detail about the dishes because there's nothing to describe. The cuisine is EXCELLENT, with top-notch flavors and top-quality ingredients. The final bill was around €80 per person, including wine, dessert, and coffee. The prices are perfectly in line with the quality of the service and food.
If you're a tourist passing through Siena, I highly recommend it. You'll spend a peaceful evening enjoying exquisite food, and the staff are always available to answer any questions.

A beautiful, very refined restaurant, even if it doesn't look like it from the outside. Excellent dishes made with fresh, quality ingredients, everything well prepared, paired, and presented. The welcome and courtesy were also excellent. The quality/price ratio is moderately high, but it's in line with the ambiance. Thank you so much for the excellent service and attention you give to your customers.

I visited this restaurant in 2021 and was an amazing experience, the food was better than in most Michelin restaurants, the plates decoration was incredible, today I returned and was a completely different experience. The hostess was also the waitress, very nice girl but with cero experience, the restaurant does not have a sommelier and most of the wine on the menu they don’t have it. There is no decoration in the plates, the indirect music was nice but some times interrupted by a radio station, the food does not have the flavor that you expect in a restaurant of this category, the decoration of the place continue to be nice. They seat the people in a salon that is hot even they had a more cold part of the restaurant empty. After noticing the difference I asked the waitress and happened the Chef they use to have is not working there anymore. What a shame because this use to be a great restaurant. We arrive at 8 pm and leave at 11 and they served only 2 tables during the whole night it looks like the place has been in decadence for some time already. I do not recommend this place. There are better options in the area.

Cenetta Romantica per festeggiare l’anniversario.
Servizio eccellente e locale molto curato e bello esteticamente.
