Truly a perfect place. Impeccable service, and my compliments to the waiters, who were so attentive to every request. They offered us a panettone that was delicious, and the tortellini were also excellent. We'll definitely be back.

We visited this restaurant for a special occasion. There were many guests, but everything was perfectly managed, from the welcome to the service. The dishes were fabulous. Thanks to chef Giacomo Pini.

What a lovely surprise this restaurant is! As soon as you enter, you're greeted by an elegant and refined atmosphere, one that's meticulously crafted without becoming snobbish. The warm, welcoming atmosphere makes you feel immediately at ease. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, always present but never intrusive. The service isn't lightning-fast, admittedly... but it's the right kind of slowness, pleasant, slow food: you enjoy the time between courses, unhurried and unpressured. The cuisine is a beautiful declaration of love to Bolognese tradition: well-crafted dishes of excellent quality, full flavors... but with a sophisticated touch that surprises, unique yet always balanced pairings. The portions are perfect: they allow you to have appetizer + first course + second course + dessert without rolling out. And that alone, to me, is a sign of great intelligence in the kitchen. The wine list? Enormous. There's something for everyone: from classics to more unusual ones, bottles for true enthusiasts. Overall, a place where you eat very well, have a good time, and are happy to return. Highly recommended.

High-quality cuisine with a rich flavor. Lots of choices on the menu and friendly service. A wide selection of good wines, both affordable and exclusive. Plenty of choice and an absolute must-visit when dining in Bologna!

Excellent quality, traditional dishes with character. The staff was professional, yet very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was refined and very welcoming; everything was perfect. I recommend it to both those visiting Bologna for a short time and those who live here. Thanks, Parlor!

I booked a table for a corporate event of nearly 20 people. Communication with Giacomo, the manager, was very quick and efficient. They reserved a dedicated space for us, and despite the large group, the service was impeccable. At the last minute, we discovered there were several vegetarians, and the entire staff reacted proactively to make the changes to the pre-arranged menu. Despite various difficulties, we ate very well! The tagliatelle were fantastic! Thanks to all the staff for their excellent work.

A restaurant in one of Bologna's lively neighborhoods, in the Santo Stefano district. The quality of the food and the staff make you want to return. I recommend the onion tarte tatin and pumpkin tortelli as appetizers. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable. Good food at a fair price. The only flaw is that the service is a bit slow. We'll be back ❤️

04/11/2025: Artichoke alla giudia and supplì were delicious, I tried cacio e pepe, and gricia was superb. The puff pastry and maritozzo were perfect. Well done, well done, well done!
03/11/2025: Visiting Bologna, a beautiful city, and having lunch or dinner at "Pista Mentuccia," a restaurant serving authentic Roman cuisine, run by a Roman from Garbatella, may seem anachronistic, but the "call of the blood" is strong everywhere. The restaurant has simple, even spartan furnishings, and the staff is young and on par with their seasoned colleagues, attentive and professionally impeccable. The dishes, masterfully crafted according to the canons of Roman cuisine, make you feel at home rather than in Bologna. Balanced flavors, generous portions, just the way we Romans like them, and a more than satisfactory quality/price ratio. The host, a charming and delightful person to chat with, transports you to Garbatella, the neighborhood where he was born. So to say the experience was positive would be a superficial assessment, so I'll call it EXCELLENT. It's a restaurant I recommend without hesitation. All this explains the five stars given by a Google local guide that is certainly not generous.

05/11/2025: It's a family affair at wonderful da Cesari in Bologna. That's owner Paolino with his back to us, manning the cassa at the door. His son led us to the "Cabernet/Sauvignon/Sangiovese" Liano (sic) which we then found out he used to work for. 3 million bottles/yr production. OK. It still had grapes in it. Marinated duck foie gras had a truly amazing ginger candied pumpkin with it, super yum! Sformatino of porcini was suitably autumnal, with sauteed porcini as well, not a bad start. Tortellini in (beef this time) brodo had to be tried ("meat filling, always meat for tortellini") but I really enjoyed my rabbit ravioli with smoked goat cheese! Ki followed that with braised guanciola. After a crema gelato with balsamic vinegar and a torta tenerina (almost flourless chocolate cake), they wouldn't let us pay or leave without a digestivo. I wanted to try the Nocino delle Streghe (witches), which our server explained is made from walnuts possibly harvested by virgins by the light of the full moon, hence the name. Not so sure about that, but it was certainly digestion enhancing. Enjoyable and would return to explore more of the menu.
02/11/2025: An exquisite light lunch. Delicious platter with 2 olive oils, especially liked the single estate. The red Sangiovese made by the owner's brother was honest. Their pasta ragu very good as well as the truffle risotto. The desert platter with the coffee were also delicious.
