Pappare' In Bologna

Had pastries and cappuccino for breakfast. Good service and they speak multiple languages. Reasonably priced for Bologna. Might be difficult to get a seat when it’s crowded.

We came across it while looking for a place to have breakfast in Bologna. We ordered the veggie toast (6 euros x 2) and it was delicious. We then ordered 2 cappuccinos and 1 chocolate croissant (total 5.80 euros). It suited our taste and we were very pleased. The music playing was great.

After three breakfasts there, it turns out that while the place is pretty and the waiters friendly, the price of the pancakes and croissants is really too high for the quality. On the other hand, there's a nice vegan menu, which is rare.

We went to this place recommended by TikTok. And it didn't disappoint. The breakfasts were delicious and the coffee was excellent. A great option for breakfast in the city.

Get the croissant Pistachio, it really tastes like Pistachio with the bready croissant Italian style, Capuccino were great as well Speck croissant (brie + walnut + rocket + honey) and Capresa open panino were delicious as well

I decided to go alone for breakfast in the center of Bologna and found this café on Tripadvisor after searching for "cheap breakfast". I can say that it 100% met my expectations: I ate a delicious pistachio croissant for €1.60, if I'm not mistaken. The place was quiet and welcoming, and I was served with kindness. When I left the café I also came across a large mural of José Saramago, a Portuguese Nobel Prize-winning writer and my favorite (I'm Portuguese). It was a morning well spent!

This café was conveniently located right outside our Airbnb, so we visited regularly during our stay. There was almost always a queue for service, which was frustrating. The filled croissants and oversized muffins were enjoyable, and the drinks we tried were fine. The hot food coming out of the kitchen also looked appetising. The staff worked hard and generally tried to be pleasant, but they seemed overstretched and struggled to keep the arcade seating area clean—leading to a constant stream of fearless pigeons helping themselves to leftovers. On one visit, my cream filled croissant was dry and unpleasant. When I politely raised it, the waitress was surprisingly confrontational and initially refused to replace it, even though we were regulars by then. About ten minutes later, she brought over a fresh one—but without a word of apology. We didn’t return after that. Would I recommend it? Yes—but only if there’s no long queue and you’re not expecting personal service or spotless tables. “Cafe Lilu” is round the corner.

Mi trovavo a Bologna per pochi giorni, e da buon amante del momento "colazione", ho googlato per trovare in zona Le Due Torri un dei migliori posti per fare colazione. La mia ricerca è ricaduta su Pappare'. Vorrei sottolineare che il nome ha l'apostrofo e non l'accento e l'ho scoperto spulciando sul loro sito. Sono andato da solo, sia la mattina del 12 novembre, sia quella successiva. Anche se ci sono diversi posti a sedere tra le sale interne e le sedute esterne in Galleria Acquaderni, consiglio di andare presto. Io ad esempio sono andato tra le 8 e le 9,e ho notato che il salato inizia ad essere esposto solo dopo le 9. L'arredo è caratterizzato da un design informale, accogliente e contemporaneo. Lo staff è rapido e cordiale. Nella prima visita ho preso cappuccino e cornetto integrale al pistacchio, mentre il giorno dopo ho preso cappuccino ed un pain au chocolat. Cappuccino ben fatto, ma i croissants e la viennoserie meritano tantissimo. Sicuramente se mi capiterà di tornare a Bologna, sicuramente Pappare' sarà il mio punto di riferimento.
