Papa Rex In Roma

Papa Rex in Rome gave us an unforgettable evening! We celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday there, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The pasta was absolutely delicious—authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. The cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality made the experience even more special. The staff went above and beyond, even bringing a little surprise for her birthday, which made her smile all evening.

Love this place, we were in Rome for 5 nights in November 2024, ended up eating here 3 night ha out of the 5. The fish is exceptional. We will be returning in January 2025.

Very pleasant lunch, the fetuchine dish with bacon and mushrooms spectacular, the pizzas very good.

Too bad for the spaghetti vongole that I love...the sand was there too and the diarrhea the next day! I didn't manage to find a decent restaurant close to my hotel/2 nights in via San Paolo..next time, I'll change neighborhood!

papa rex was introduced to us as the place where pope francis once came to eat pizza, so naturally, our expectations were high. upon entering, we were impressed by the cozy ambience. the decor was charming and gave off a distinctly italian feel, making the setting warm and inviting. as for the food, it was good but not particularly memorable. the pizza was decent, well-prepared, but nothing that truly stood out. the highlight of our meal was the tiramisu. it was absolutely spectacular! the flavors were rich and deep, making it incredibly satisfying and addictive. the restaurant was packed with only tourists, which was a bit surprising but understandable given its reputation. overall, i’d recommend papa rex if you’re looking for a well-known dining spot near the vatican. while the food may not wow you, the experience and the tiramisu are worth trying.

Très accueillant, service rapide. Personnel au top. Joli cadre . Bonne ambiance pour une excellente soirée . Savent y faire pour fidéliser ( geste commercial) . Y aller sans hésitation !!
