A typical little restaurant in the less crowded part of Trastevere, on the Lungaretta, on the right side of the street as you descend toward Ripa Grande. The Roman dishes are average, even better considering the indoor and outdoor location, and the staff are absolutely friendly and attentive. Special praise goes to the waitress Maria, who is attentive and attentive to the customer's needs even during busy periods, always there with a kind apology if something goes wrong, even if it's timing. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes, but it's worth it. Excellent value, from the food to the excellent house wines.

it's my roman family. Each time I'm in Rome I'm must stop in Papa Re , great food and great service... I'd like especially to thx a waitress but unfortunately I'm not good with names but I can say:"hey girl you have a good memory 😁"

The waitress who served us was very friendly. She quickly found us a table, always attentive to any need we had and willing to explain anything if we didn't understand. The pizzas, pasta, and desserts were all very good. Reasonable prices. We liked it and came back again, even though Trastevere was a bit far for us. We ate inside one day and on the terrace the next, where it was very nice.

Set in a quiet piazza just off Viale de Trastevere is this pleasant little restaurant.
We managed to get a seat outside. Service was very slow but the prices here were very reasonable. We both had the Spaghetti al Gricia - pasta with Pecorino, black pepper and bacon along with a jug of the house white wine. The wine (€8 for a litre) was just like all homemade wines I've tasted - passable, but not brilliant. It did get better the more we drank and it went well with our food. The pasta, at €10 each, was lovely though.

We discovered this place by chance, and I must say we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The service was a bit lacking; the waiters were distracted, and some were even a bit arrogant, especially one young woman working the cash register. A special thanks to Maria, who was truly kind to us, charismatic, and very attentive to detail—a true exception to this restaurant.

Selected the restaurant as it had air conditioning on a very hot day. The food was reasonably priced for Rome, but the pizza toppings were very sparse in places (3 or 4 bits of bacon on the whole pizza). The staff were efficient, if not overly friendly and seated and served us rapidly.
The stairs to the downstairs toilets are black steps with very dim lighting, so very difficult to see the edges of the steps in the gloom, which isn’t great from an accident safety perspective.

Restaurante excelente para quem gosta de pratos verdadeiramente italianos. Comi um gnocchi de ragu saborosíssimo, massa leve e equilibrada. As pizzas de massa fina são levemente crocante, com recheio e tempero sem igual. Nós nos assentamos do lado de fora, um ambiente agradável e aconchegante. Fomos super bem atendidos pela Nubia, uma brasileira atenciosa que nos serviu com muito carinho e indicou vinhos que completaram ainda mais a nossa experiência. Papa Re agora será parada obrigatória nas próximas visitas a Roma! Recomendo!!!
