Cozy but a bit cluttered This restaurant is located in the lively Trastevere neighborhood and has a typically Italian feel. The tables are close together, creating a cozy and lively atmosphere, just like you'd expect in Rome. We ordered several dishes to eat in courses, but unfortunately, almost everything was served at once. As a result, the table was quickly full, and we could barely fit everyone in. That was a bit of a shame, as it took away from the relaxed pace of the meal. The staff was quite young, which sometimes made the ambiance a bit lacking. That's a drawback for us. The atmosphere and decor are truly Italian, and make it a pleasant place to eat in Trastevere. 🇮🇹🍝

Carbonara pasta for €10, but avoid the wine.

Amazing food, deliciously flavoured and authentic taste! The restaurant manager was lovely, very attentive and friendly, the serving was very fast and the price-quality ratio was excellent! Definitely reccomend! We had lasagna, lamb & chicory, as well as chicken with red pepper sauce - a delight!

Good pizza but not extraordinary; the service the same.

Small restaurant but with a great atmosphere and excellent service. We had pasta for lunch and it was delicious; so much so that we went back for pizza that evening. There was some leftover, and they were very kind enough to prepare it for us to take home. I highly recommend it; good value for money.

In Rome for a photography exhibition in Testaccio, passing through Trastevere shortly after 12, we stumbled upon this trattoria. Attracted by the menu and affordable prices, we sat down. It's a very cute place, small but well-kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. It had just opened when we arrived, so we found a seat right away, but it fills up quickly. There's also some seating outside. A few tourists (as is only right), but also locals, which is a guarantee. My friends had the artichoke carbonara, and they said it was delicious. I decided to try the spaghetti alla gricia. It was the bomb. Truly delicious, with generous portions (as a trattoria should be). A jug of red wine, a bottle of water, three tiramisu dishes, and four coffees for about €21 each. Trattoria Papa Re TOP!!! If I ever find myself in Rome again, I'll definitely be back!!!

We went to this tiny trattoria, but the food was delicious. The pasta and pizza were excellent. Amazing value for money. We would definitely go back.

A great restaurant for authentic food. The service was exceptionally friendly, uncomplicated, and very fast. The portions were reasonable, and the price was excellent.

Anyone looking for incredibly good and affordable food in Rome should go to Papa Re Trestevere. My highlight, besides the pizza, was the tiramisu, which was absolutely divine.

Small restaurant. Tables a bit close together but a nice atmosphere. They were out of pizzas when we went for lunch around 2:30 pm, but the pasta was very good!
