Papa Re In Roma

Very good food, family atmosphere and the waitress Maria very nice! Very good price for the area it is in. Totally recommended

We dined in Papa Re in Feb 2025. All the food that we ordered were delicious, and also the wine. My favorites were Bistecca Ferri, Spaghetti Amatriciana, Saltimbocca Romana. The staffs were kind and understanding. The Italians eat in courses, start with antipasti (appetizer), primi (first course), secondi (2nd/main course), then dolci (dessert). From where I come from, other than appetizer and dessert, all is considered main course. They asked us whether we wanted to have the primi and secondi served at once. So thoughtful. I really appreciated that. That made the food more enjoyable for us. The interior was small. Very little space left between my table and the neighboring table 😄. We were feeling un-easy at the first time, but as soon as the foods & drinks came, they made us forget the un-easiness. All was delicious 😍👍 This trattoria makes wonderful experience for me and my husband and son. Grazie 🙇🏻‍♀️🙏🏻 Definitely will come back to dine here again when we visit Rome in the future.

The place where I ate the best in Rome on this visit, ugly place but very good homemade food and at a very economical price totally recommendable, perhaps the dryness with which they serve you could be improved, the space left between the tables, but for the food everything is forgiven The meatballs are from another world but they do run out soon

We were walking through Trastevere and we chose this trattoria, which still stands out among those where unfortunately only the name remains. Here the dishes of traditional cuisine still stand out for their simplicity and quantity as well as their strong flavours. Price absolutely more than fair. Bulk house Cesanese wine: an extremely happy choice! Really compliments.

Too bad we didn't find this place sooner :)

Yesterday we had some pizzas there that were very good. We were very comfortable and María's attention was impeccable, she was attentive to us all the time. We recommend it

Five friends of us came across this beautiful restaurant in Trastevere. Spectacular cuisine, everything excellent and impeccable service. Thanks especially to Elisabetta and Matteo.. we will definitely be back!!!

Insomma, primi normali, nulla di eccezionale, carciofo alla giudia con foglie immangiabili, vino sfuso buono, personale simpaticissimo. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Posto incantevole, dove si respira ancora il profumo della vecchia trattoria. Abbiamo mangiato più volte in 3 giorni a Roma. 2 cene + 1 pranzo. Sempre tutto ottimo. Dagli antipasti fino al dolce. Personale accogliente che ti fa sentire a casa. Oltre la cucina, una menzione particolare al conto finale, che per come siamo abituati agli standard lombardi è veramente poco.
