Borbonika Restaurant offers a truly excellent culinary experience in Vomero. The welcome was impeccable from the moment we arrived: the Chef and the Head of the Dining Room demonstrate the utmost professionalism. A welcome with sparkling wine and a detailed explanation of artisanal bread and sauces immediately demonstrated the attention to detail.
The cuisine combines quality ingredients with creativity:
Seared Octopus: Perfect, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, served on broccoli rabe.
Pacchero della Selva: A remarkable first course. The roe deer ragù is intense, made unique by the hazelnut and bitter cocoa crumble.
Entrecôte Argentina: Excellent quality meat, served on a hot griddle to enhance its flavor.
We also greatly appreciated the fresh intermezzi (palette cleansers) between courses, a true touch of haute cuisine.
The dessert, especially the Borbonika Tiramisu, was a sensational conclusion.
Despite the high quality of the food and service, the value for money is excellent for the Vomero area. The atmosphere is another strong point: quiet, well-kept, and never chaotic.

A great discovery in Vomero, passing by names is a big deal, but the place is downstairs.
Very welcoming, and the wait staff is very attentive. I met the owner, who is also the chef, and I must say that you can see the effort he puts into his dishes, offering a different experience than the usual restaurant. Bravo!

At Borbonika, you immediately sense that behind everything lies one thing: a huge, genuine effort. You can tell this restaurant was created by someone who truly believed in it, step by step, starting from scratch. It's not a place built on a drawing board or designed by an architect: it's a living creature, made of hard work, dedication, and a lot of sweat.
I watched the owner move between the dining room and the kitchen, training the waiters, overseeing the details, even managing the cash register. I saw the effort of someone who decided to make it on their own, in a city where running an à la carte restaurant with changing staff is one of the most difficult things in the world. Yet, despite it all, the staff's courtesy is impeccable—and that's thanks to them. It's the sign of a hand that educates, that teaches, that upholds the human quality of the service, not just that of the dishes.
The cuisine aims for gourmet style, at times a little too much, but it's a conscious and courageous choice. Perhaps it could use a touch of simplicity, but it still offers a wide, carefully curated selection, with an excellent selection of wines and top-quality ingredients.
Of course, the place isn't perfect—none is—but you can feel the heart, passion, and determination here. And for me, given the quality, price, and commitment, Borbonika fully deserves a recommendation.

It was my first time and it was a wonderful experience. I was with my wife and we tried a few items on the menu and I can definitely say that the food is excellent, with high-quality products and friendly, professional service. We will definitely be back.

We can give the restaurant full marks. Very nice, attentive waitresses. Don't be fooled by the small dining room at the entrance - there are two more air-conditioned rooms in the basement. The tables were tastefully set. The dishes were all beautifully presented. To start with, there was a greeting from the kitchen, including a wine tasting. The antipasti and the main course tasted perfect. For the first time in a long time, a restaurant in southern Italy that also uses herbs. We would definitely come again. Thank you for the lovely evening.

As often in Napoli, the wonder is behind a little door. You should push this door and enjoy the amazing food. It is creative, nicely presented, perfectly cooked with multiple flavours, at a very decent pricing. It's a path to one-star Michelin.
