This little bar, where we recently stopped after arriving in Montechiarugolo, is truly excellent. Arriving around 11:00 a.m., we ordered a macchiato and a coffee ☕, also opting for a brioche 🥐 and a Sicilian cannoli (delicious) that were beautifully displayed behind the counter. The staff were friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The bathrooms 🚽 were tidy. The location is strategic, given that the establishment is near the castle. I definitely recommend it 👍. 19/01/2026: A dedicated room with a beautiful round table, a roaring fireplace, and one dish better than the next. Perfect pisarei e fasò, melt-in-the-mouth stewed ganassini, all preceded by a crispy, flavorful, and dry fried cake with excellent cured meat.

Ristorante Al Vecchio Mulino

20/09/2025: A pleasant place on a stream. The mushrooms, cooked in various ways, are delicious! The tagliatelle with mushrooms is good, but they use dry tagliatelle. The wine markups are significant, even excessive. Then they complain that they don't drink wine in the restaurant anymore... I had a good time, but given how much else is available, I certainly won't be returning.
29/08/2025: Excellent. Everything: the food, the meticulously maintained atmosphere, the location on the banks of the Gelana stream, the friendliness of the chef and owner, the quality of the food. Definitely worth a try.
