Visiting the village of Orgosolo in September
It's time to eat. What shall we do?
What shall we eat?
We stumble upon the sandwich shop "Da Michela" by chance on the promenade and are drawn in by a young man who responds kindly and suggests what the place has to offer.
He's at the stove, preparing the "purpuzza" (a dish my husband and I will later try), but we're in awe of the display of foods he prepares himself with the help of his mother and grandmother. This place is perfect for us! Applause for what we tasted and a special mention for the "seada" (a dish made with care and shared between my husband and me, since he wanted it covered in sugar while I wanted it covered in honey.
Result: we stayed in Sardinia for 15 days, but we never ate such exceptional swordfish again.
We won't soon forget you!

We went for lunch today. The pane lentu con purpuzza and seadas were delicious. Michela and her son were very kind.

Two friendly and smiling young people, an open kitchen, excellent products, and a strong desire to do well. We tried lentu and purpuzza bread, coccone with beef steak, French fries, and seadas. Everything was truly tasty and well-made. The fried food was excellent: pale, dry, and light. The seadas were also very good, different from those we've tried so far because they're made with a lard-free dough and are therefore particularly light. All at very fair prices. Well done, guys, keep up the good work!

Durante una gita tra amici a Orgosolo ci siamo fermati in un posto davvero caratteristico, dove abbiamo avuto il piacere di assaggiare due specialità locali che ci hanno conquistati: il coccone e il pane lento.
Il coccone era fragrante e saporito, perfetto da gustare caldo, mentre il pane lento ci ha sorpresi per la sua morbidezza e il sapore autentico della tradizione. Due chicche della cucina barbaricina che meritano assolutamente di essere provate.
Un ringraziamento speciale va a Michela, la proprietaria, che è stata non solo gentilissima e disponibile, ma ci ha anche fatto venire una gran curiosità di scoprire e assaggiare altre specialità tipiche del territorio. La sua passione per la cucina e per le tradizioni locali si percepisce in ogni dettaglio.
Un posto genuino, accogliente e ricco di sapori veri. Se siete a Orgosolo, fateci un salto: ne vale davvero la pena!

Location consigliataci. Siamo riusciti a pranzare alla nostra seconda visita ad Orgosolo. Nella prima siamo arrivati troppo tardi.
Il piatto tipico era esaurito.
Oggi, invece, ce l'abbiamo fatta ed abbiamo gustato due ottimi "pane lentu con purpuzza".
Michela ci ha accolti come se fossimo di famiglia facendoci sentire.....a casa.
Torneremo sicuramente per assaggiare altre specialità!
