The wait was ridiculous. I waited twenty minutes for two sandwiches. They let two small groups go in front. I paid €16 for the two sandwiches (sausage and cardozzo) plus two bottles of Ichnusa beer. The sandwiches were generously sized and very good.

A typical Cagliari sandwich; I had the classic one with horse meat. Very good, I recommend it. It's a shame that cars drive by, so you have to be careful. It would be nice to have a few rest points, at least for the time it takes to eat, but it's fine, it stays true to tradition.

Yesterday's lunch, July 9, 2025. We were a group of five; we had three Cokes, four sandwiches, and a tub of fries with sausage. Of the four sandwiches, three were horse meat, one was a simple hamburger and tomato. Of the three horse meats, two were complete with onions, ketchup and mayonnaise, potatoes, and peppers. The bread had been reheated on the griddle but wasn't burned; everything was good, even the onion. The place is very chaotic; since it faces the street, you have to stay close to the stand to avoid cars trying to park, and this ensures that anyone waiting for food is crowded together. I can't imagine what it was like during the days when masks were required. The staff didn't have gloves, which isn't a problem since if you wash them constantly, they can be cleaner than gloves, but I don't think there's a sink there, and I wouldn't want them touching the food after handling the cash.
