Panino Jumbo In Pavia

Premise: I am very critical of hamburger shops, and the 3 stars are not because I had a bad experience, but because I believe they can improve a lot. I frequented the place years ago, and I wanted to try the new smash-burger version given the very different reviews. I tried the lunch menu, which at €10 I find very honest. I chose the chilli: 100g of smash, with chips and a drink. Really good potatoes, fried in their skins, nice, salty and plentiful, sauce available at will. The sandwich has some flaws but I'm sure it can be improved: I didn't taste much meat and it lacks the crusty effect typical of smash, boiled bacon and very little chili. Well melted cheese, super gherkin sauce and excellent caramelized onions that give it a lot of character. The bread differs from the industrial one, very soft and holds well without falling apart until the end. Nice and very kind waitress, as well as the owner who came out of the kitchen to greet and thank me, which is not a given in Pavia. Clean place, music a little too loud for my tastes and a bit of the USA missing. in furnishings. I will definitely be back to try the double carbonara, the mac n cheese and the donuts. I really hope to raise the rating on the next visit.

It's been a while since we've been to the jumbo and we found the place modernized and managed by technology. We ate outside, the only flaw was the wooden chairs which are not the best, wobbly, but the waitress immediately changed them for me. Quick service and nice girls. We ordered via QR from the site, the flaw is that there is no information on the ingredients (I asked them for information on a sauce). For the rest, the sandwich and chips were EXCELLENT. There is free refill of drinks (except beer). We will definitely be back and more often. Highly recommended.

Excellent option in Pavia for those who want to change the pizza and pasta, they have a good promotion on hamburgers

Very nice place with very kind wait staff! The sandwich is good, as are the fried foods we tried (chips and onion rings - very plentiful and done really well). One thing I really appreciated were the sauces always available at the table. There is only one vegan option on the menu for sandwiches which I tried and it wasn't bad at all. We tried the restaurant with the 50% discount on the fork, perhaps without the discount it is a bit expensive (at full price, two sandwiches, a large coke, a water, two starters, a dessert and a cover charge around 54 euros ). All in all, a very pleasant evening with good food :)
