This afternoon, I took a walk through some of the backstreets my neighborhood. I had heard good things about Panificio Santa Rita, a bread and pizza store, so I decided to drop in and pick something up for dinner.
They had one of my favorites, sfincione, a very specific type of Sicilian pizza topped with caciocavallo cheese and a sauce made with tomatoes, onion, anchovy, and oregano, typically topped with breadcrumbs, as well.
They also had something I’ve wanted to try, a potato pizza. It’s a white pie with minimal cheese and potatoes on top.
I got two pieces for just €3.50. I had a piece of each for dinner and I’m very happy to have leftovers!
